90%?!?!? are you kidding me??? this film teaches kids thats its OK to disobey your family, when they're only trying to protect you, and its OK to make a life risking deal with an evil...I-don't-know-what! and, its also OK to try and run of with a guy you havent even met!!!!
one of my fav films when i was little. so what if it is politically correct? is that a bad thing? do u think we should raise children and lies and keep them from justice (Toy Story hint hint)? in a world where cowboys are becoming a disease i think we need a film like this...
The WORST american western. Racist, politically uncorrect, do I have to go on? John Wayne cant act to save his life, it makes the Native Americans look like savage mute idiots. FYI, Native Americans RESPECTED women as they were bringers of life. THATS why the women usually didnt go hunting or go to war, the men put their lives first. I could go on for ages about my disgust for this film, but I wont. >:(
well, I guess theres no hope for the environment when our generation of kids grow up. Now every kid is saying "I wanna be a cowboy!!!" thanks to films like this. Do the world a favor, burn plotless soppy films (that people only like because somebody dies or something stupid like that), and make a film about the TRUTH about cowboys and their cattle. Go to Defendersofwildlife.com and find out...
Would people please pretend that Pixar doesn't exist, so we can stop comparing films. If Toy Story 3 didn't come out this year, then Alpha and Omega would've got a higher rating. This was a good film, and nobody needed to die in it. Period.
ok, let me just calm myself after reading those ignorant comments from other critics........ok im ready.
why the hell do you people have a problem with this film being politically correct? have you been so brainwashed by the crappy old westerns which starred that ugly old git known as John Wayne that you now refuse to face the truth? OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE!!!! this is one of very few westerns which actually tell the TRUTH!!!! so if a film was made about how great osama bin laden was when he terrorised people, would you all enjoy it because its politically incorrect? i dont think so.
How can you people not like this movie? Its got suberb animation. its not pixar (thank god), so its not unrealistic and realistic at the same time (and completely babyish). it is more serious, a bit like Tarzan, and gets peoples minds away from the scientific prospect of things. this is a masterpiece.
*yawn* sorry if im being cold hearted, but all the old man does is look at a picture of his dead wife. disney has a habit of doing that. This film had a completely scattered plot, which made it unfunny and a bit dull. The talking dogs just seem like the only idea pixar had to fill in a gap in th film. stupid and pointless. it would have better without the dogs.
this type of story has been told so many times. dog gets lost, long journey home etc etc. and Bolt is supposed to be a german shepherd? little bit small for that breed. and miley cyrus' whiny voice in the background didn't make it help either. p.s. why does pixar usually make the english or european guy as the villain?
