I believe Keanu Reeves would have played a more convincing Steve Jobs. Just like adding cheap off-brand RAM to your Mac, it just doesn't work!
I hate to make a comparison but the documentary "McConkey" pretty much blows this documentary out of the water. How many times can you watch the same boring couple jump off something in the same way which involves very little skill (but like Russian Roulette takes a lot of nerve and little sense). Carl's wife seemed emotionally disconnected and unconvincing at selling BASE jumping as a life altering experience and using the old adage's of "he died doing what he loved" and "we knew the risks involved" in a cold monotone voice. Anyhow watch the documentary "McConkey" after you watch this and you'll understand my two-star review.
Things that didn't make sense in a movie for "smart" people...
For example, they need a Saturn V type rocket to escape Earths gravity but can quite happily fly up and down to similar planets in something not much bigger than a Spitfire later in the movie.
Why would anyone in their right mind what to go to any planet orbiting a black hole? This is not a very good place to be and certainly not a good place to transplant the human race.
Well they must have had very high-tech rockets. They managed to get to Jupiter in two years, which means you are travelling very fast, but failed to show how they could slow down fast enough to orbit the planet or enter the wormhole i.e. you would need a really big rocket to slow you down, the spaceship didn't have one.
They have these awesome rockets, but the spaceships are full of tech from the 70's (CRT screens, analogue meters etc.), kinda like futuristic steam-punk
This is just the start of it... oh and the robot was really stupid too.
Movie is packed with original one liners and never stops being funny.
