90s idea of what Punk "life" once was.
Alt-Right companion for everything they got wrong with a message, once so CLEAR but now, somehow gone astray.
Waste of a film........loved by the same poseurs it claims to hate.
Film for those 90s kids who, not only left home to be "gutter punk" thanks to this film, but who's actual "punk" started with Green Day.
A film for those people who DIDN'T have to live the life.
A film for those who CHOSE to live, "the life".
*fat line between the two......take it from one who knows.
A facade of a film made by people who didn't get it. Full Stop.
Not sure how this movie got such high scores.
Bad editing. Lazy script. BORING soap opera stuff.
Not all that thrilling and seriously, Mysterio uses drones??? DRONES????????
This movie sucked. BAD.
One will have had to live in the time to fully appreciate this film.
Still worth viewing for its nostalgia and Rosanna Arquette definitely carries this movie. This film is noteworthy for making Aidan Quinn's Adam's Apple utterly unforgettable.
One of Madonna's FEW acting roles where she actually pulls it off..........just so! (but she's still basically playing herself; who she actually was around that time.)
Also notable: The single, "Into the Groove". Which was produced specifically for this soundtrack. By far, one of Madonna's best releases EVER, and is pretty much the only song included that doesn't sound like a bad cover or musak. That single is just as funky and listenable today, as it was back then!
*and for the record: This film takes place in Atlantic City, NOT NY. Jus'sayin'.....
