However action-packed and with a charming Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, nevertheless (and I'm saying this as a huge fan of the Uncharted video games) this movie was disappointing, as it suffers from awkward (and by extension unfunny) comedy, highly predictable moments, foolish and uninteresting heroes, and especially mean-spirited characters (top of which is Mark Wahlberg, whom I found unlikable and totally unconvincing as the mentor Sully). If you wanna watch, I'd say go play the video games and forget this movie ever existed!
Not as powerful as the Prince of Egypt, but oh my God: emotionally resonant, expressive animation, lets the story talk through emotions more than talking... In short, it's amazing, one of the best from Dreamworks!
It's not bad, and it can take pride in its catchy music, gorgeous animation, menacing villain, and a few heartfelt moments. But overall, this movie suffers a lot due to super awkward comedy, unfunny jokes, and (if I may say) lazily written characters, the worst of all being Brad Pitt as Sinbad. Not the best from Dreamworks.
