I passed by what seemed like a long queue of moviegoers. It was the cinema showing a local movie starring Piolo and Tony. And I thought, "wow Philippines! Another GENERIC local produce being flocked to by mindless youngsters." To my surprise, the movie I went to could not have fared significantly better! Pompeii is disappointingly FLAT amid all the explosion and destruction. Without an engaging story, it's sadly all-noise.
Oh my! Even gods can be boring. (Though Odin explains they are not "gods", daw.) Anyway, watching this reminded me of those childhood days were you are forced to sit in church and endure the boredom. Thor has lost his mojo this time, I'm afraid. 2.0 stars out of 5.
