Why was his head sooooo small? Who did the graphics on this, it was terrible. Poor Godzilla looks like an overweight wrestler with a Pea Head. The blurred graphics on Mothra too were terrible. Want real sad - the Original Japanese versions were clearer and more realistic then the computer generated mess of this movie. Don't even know what that Slothlike creature was suppose to be? Did they not know how to make Gamera, so they dropped in the Sloth with Mathis legs? Then they made Rodan a trained parrot of some sort that bowed down to defeat? If you going to try to remake a classic B movie you need to do a lot more homework. Note to Producers - Computer Graphic designs should have made the characters and the movie crisper and clearer, not blurred and all out of shape.
Pretty good, not the best Avengers movie in the series, but it did keep my interest. Sorry to see Iron Man go - he had the best sense of humor of them all. I used to read these comics when I was little - I didn't like Capt. Marvel then and I don't like it now. Beside I remember Capt. Marvel as a male (Shazam). She just seems totally out of place. Sorry also that they made Thor look like a slob, it might have worked as a joke if they found him like that, but not for the whole movie. Not a big fan of Guardian's of the Galaxy either so this movie was slightly disappointing. I hope they somehow revive Iron Man and let him continue his adventures.
The first movie was lousy - I am going to give this movie the same as the first movie - Doesn't seem to be anyone in Hollywood who can make a good Horror film any longer. This was so predictable. The plot was the same plot as many other movies. It's either a scary doll, scary teddy bear or scary clown possessed and killing randomly. Boring.
I have come to the conclusion that if the Critics Love a Movie I will probably be disappointed. Even though I am a huge Disney Fan and I loved Toy Story (at least one and two) I found this story bland. I am sorry to say that. For some reason, maybe because it was solely all about Woody and the other character didn't get a chance to get their quirks, jokes and personalities involved. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't Top Disney Quality. Didn't like the Bunny/Chick they were just out of place. The Dummies were left overs in the Studio Warehouse from the Goosebumps Movies, so they dusted them off and threw them in this movie? Disney needs to look a quality lately, not quantity.
I went in this movie with doubt - I loved Robin Williams talents and thought no one could pull off the Genie roll. But I was pleasingly surprised. Will Smith was great at this character. It was a little different spln, but really good. The music was up beat and fun. The story was really well written. It was Cast extremely well. I think maybe Jafar could have been played by someone more sinister, he came across to me more of a Pretty Boy then an evil sorcerer, but it didn't take away from his role too much. It's a keeper - Disney Magic at it's best.
I just have one question, the question I always ask in cases like this. "WHY?" Can't anyone in Hollywood, in any Studio, make a NEW MOVIE? Why are they remaking every single movie over again? I hate to tell you but just because you are now replacing women in the original male roles it doesn't mean it will be a better movie or even a good movie. It's the cheap way to say that they are now using more females in the movies, but that's it. How about "Writing" new, outstanding roles for women instead? The movie was truly a mess. The plot was empty, boring and all over the place. The Good news I did watch it all the way through to the end, Bad news I really didn't need to watch it to the end. Guess they are going to try to make yet another since there was a hint at the end of such. I would say "Please Don't" MIB has lost its appeal.
Not going to go see this movie I am sure I have seen it before? I just realized now what the other movie was "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels". This roll reversal thng is out of control. It doesn't make it a hit just because you change the male rolls to female rolls. In most cases the rolls are meant to be male and it plays better with a male actor. Hollywood Writers have nothing New so now they are just taking every movie that starred a Male lead or Actor and replacing a Female Actress and saying it's a new movie. Wrong! Not to mention Rebel Wilson is playing the same character in all her movies. The names change, but it's the same character, same gestures, same laugh, same silliness, same character.
This movie ties everything together. Unbreakable and Split. After you see this you know the answer to "Why"? It is a little drawn out, especially the Kevin character. But I did like to see a conclusion and an explanation.
I didn't think I would like this but it wasn't bad. It kept my attention and was a little on the funny side. Did feel that Aquaman belonged on WWE Wrestling it did come off sometimes like a Wrestling Skit with his facial expressions and body movements. It also made me think this was kinda taken from a Thor and Loki Script? But considering it was Aquaman (Not the best comic book hero.) it was a good Rainy Day movie.
Considering that this is a Disney Movie I was very disappointed. It did not have Disney Quality or Depth. It was made more like a made for TV Movie. It didn't explain much, it was like they were trying to fast forward to the moral of the story. Kids would never get it, in fact I would think any child under 13 would be bored. Oprah's performance was stale, stiff, unemotional, and unmemorable. If she was supposed to be Glinda type guide she failed terribly. Reese Witherspoon on the other hand, overacted, too loud, too much all around. Mindy Kaling was dull also, seems I seen her on the cooking network. None of them had emotional ties to their characters they were just reading a script, not performing as a character. The little girl was OK, but she needs to be on Disney Channel for a while get some experience before taking on a movie roll. The bright star is the little boy Deric McCabe he took on a complex role with many twists and a lot of dialog and he handled it well for such a young boy. But he needs more experience also. Disney needs to lock this up way in the back of the Disney Vaults.
Common on now. Even though Pet Sematary was a great Stephen King Novel - it was not a Good Movie. The Original was just OK. So why would you make it over again? Just because you change actors and add special effects it doesn't make the movie better, it just a remake of a so-so movie. So novels aren't good on screen. Like Cujo, It was a great book, but the movie was flat. When you read Stephen King Novels you have to use your imagination and picture what is going on sort of making the story yours in your mind. When translated to screen, you loose that imagination factor and the story goes flat. Don't make any more remakes.
Nut so Good - LOL. Characters are cute, but story line is cheesy (sorry for puns). Guess some kids may like the colorful animation but they won't get the story. Just a bland cartoon.
Didn't actually want to see this movie because I had an idea it was like Alien and it's dozen of sequels and remakes. But I watched it and actually it wasn't that bad. Not academy award worthy, but not bad. It was kinda funny too. It's a good rainy day B movie.
Guess I should have known that this was not going to be good. My Bad. The first movie was confusing, a mismatch of scenes, story and concept. This sequel only made it worse. I get the whole Harry Potter prequel thing. I just think the screenplay was written poorly. It's not clear, it's all over the place. It's like watching a bunch of movie trailers strung together!? Sorry to say this too, but Johnny Depp was really bad in this role. He does great characterizations, but this one falls so short of his normal quality of character. It was almost like he didn't want the role and was just going through the script to get it over with. Glad I didn't go to movie theater to see it.
Why? That's about all you can say is why is Hollywood Remaking all the old movies that Starred Men and revamping it to a woman's role? It doesn't make it better, it still just a remake. It wasn't that good when it was What women want with Mel Gibson. Just switching role genders does not make a Great Movie. Hey Hollywood writers here is a great concept "Originality". Something New not a sequel, not a remake, not a gender reversal just plain Original.
This was cute. Just cute, nothing more, nothing less. I did like all the characters from different venues. I even spotted a little Stan Lee. But other then that is was OK. Think it would be a little too confusing for young children, the message is too complex for kiddies. But they will enjoy all the little cartoon characters.
The Grinch I think has been done to death now. This version was not good it was way off base. The interaction between the Grinch and Whoville characters was too "as a matter of fact".
The Reindeer character was cute, but did not fit in the story line. It was all over the place guess they were trying to make the Grinch Politically Correct? Making him nice, and not different from everyone else in whoville? I missed seeing it in the movies now I am glad I did.
It actually isn't that bad, it's a different angle on the Hood tales. There were a few glitches, like costume design - it was off by a couple centuries. Also Robin Hood got hit by arrows a little too often and didn't even bleed? Also there was the obvious absence of King Richard and King John? It was never mentioned the Marion was Lady Marion ward of King Richard, she wasn't a peasant nor did she live in the slums. But it did keep my attention, glad I didn't go to movies to see it, but it's a semi-good couch and popcorn movie.
Finally got to see this movie. I am so surprised it didn't do better in the theatre's. Guess today's generation doesn't even remember them. It's a very moving account of the end of their careers. It's emotional, heartwarming, and very well acted. I love Bio pics. But usually they are overacted by actors trying to meet the standards of who they are portraying. In this case the acting was Perfect, rare for me to say that. I really felt like I was watching Stan and Ollie. If you love Biographies and old Hollywood see this movie it is actually the best I seen in a long time. Now why didn't the Academy nominate this film? This deserves an Oscar or at least a Nod from the Academy the two actors were brilliant.
Will Farrell has fallen in a hole deep, deep, deep in the world of been there, done that. Just because the name of the character change, doesn't make the same routines funny again. It's just stupid, repetitive, jokes and schtick that he has done a trillion times before. He is so typed cast now, it's boring. Actually this movie was beyond terrible. This should be the "What Not to Do" lesson on making a Comedy Movie in every acting class in the world. It didn't have one funny thing in the entire movie.
