The Peanuts Movie
49 days ago via Rotten Tomatoes

An extremely rare type of children's film that lacks the silly irreverent spirit of selfishness that seems to constitute the majority of kid themed movies. Instead, children are given a main character who does the right thing, even when it's hard, and is victorious just for being a good person who loves his friends and cares about his family. Although some of its classic off beat Schulz humor may fly right over some younger ones' heads, this movie is as satisfying for adults if not more so. Peanuts perfection.

Spectre (2015)

James Bond returns... Again for the very first time! In Daniel Craig's fourth and quite possibly final turn as the womanizing devil may care super spy James Bond, we are introduced to a devious criminal organization that unites all of the previous films. If Skyfall was a celebration of 50 years of James Bond then Spectre is a celebration of the past decade of Daniel Craig Bond films. With a brisk and intense opening and an electrifying opening title sequence, It starts fast and loses some steam along the way with some muddled character motivations but overall the film is highly effective as another exemplary Craig film. Although it can't quite beat the thrills of Skyfall it's still safe to say that if this is Craig's last Bond he's going out in better fashion than any previous Bond has ever enjoyed.

Jurassic World

A phenomenal and worthy follow-up to a movie that defined my 6 year old taste in films. Jurassic World feels like it was made to equally be consumed as a throwback and an expansion that finally stops wandering aimlessly around Isla Sorna on side adventures and finally pushes the real narrative of a dinosaur inhabited world into the future. Full of awesome effects, daring action and adolescent friendly thrills that will satisfy an entire family of movie goers and will probably please the parents more so than the children! Highly suggested with a final battle that will "devour" your expectations and put the theater into a hushed anticipation for what comes next. It's been years since I've been to a movie that received true applause when the credits rolled and this one mustered it without breaking a sweat. Even with a few plot threads that may have needed a slight bit more explanation left dangling, this is as great a successor as Jurassic Park could've possibly hoped for.

I am unashamed in letting you know that this is pure joy all the way through. An hilarious tribute to over the top action movies that is proud of what it is. The emotion behind it is pure class and we get a fitting tribute for Paul Walker. Don't miss this joyous thrill ride.

Birdman (2014)

Superbly told with arresting visuals, Birdman is an halucinagenic look into not only what drives fame, but the forces of chaos that drive us to our one inescapable destiny: To become ourselves. Michael Keaton gives 2014's best performance in a sensational and bombastic triumph that earns its Oscars.
