It's ok. Well-filmed, good acting, very good casting.
It's memorable, but it drags on for longer than it should.
The story is interesting, but it's not new - this is the 7th screen version of this book.
To be honest, some stories feel better as a novel than a movie and this is one of them.
I understand this movie has just the right feminist tone for this moment, but the truth is it brings nothing new to the story. I actually thought the choice of scenes was questionable and the beginning dragged on for longer than needed.
Ideology spoonfed to the audience. Some of the lines are embarrassing.
The characters are bad, the script is poor, the scenes are lazy, the acting is meh.
Really good in so many levels.
This is a top brazilian movie. Great production, great cast, very interesting story.
