Taken me far to long t watch but it is excellent. Excellent plot and pace, made me smirk quite often and Marilyn. I get it now Marilyn, I get it, she is wow. Best film I've seen for a long time.
End of documentary Robbins is asked what he hopes people get out of this doc...a better understanding of Robbins perhaps? He suggests no one is interested in that and really we'd be into his underlying message.
Trouble is, the only captivating thing about the documentary is trying to figure out how Robbins has duped so many people into paying him $5K to listen to him be a jerk for six days. He's a master manipulator of the easily manipulated. A great snake oil salesman and it's always great to see these guys in action...and depressing at the same time. He's done a great job of preying on the weak and it is exposed by the documentary. It's just too nauseating to vote higher though.
The wait for a truly great gambling film continues. Very poorly shot, low budget I assume, turgid, long winded script that couldn't quite handle having a bad but legit ending. This film doesn't really do anything right..
CGI has come a long way on 40 odd years. Boring story telling and rubbish graphics.
Accurately portrayed retelling but more like a made for tv film in terms of budget and production. Slow moving film only saved by the acting quality of the the two main leads.
