Samuel Jepsen's Movie Ratings - Rotten Tomatoes

Movie Ratings and Reviews

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Jason Segal's love for his art sure is present in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" but over-all the movie doesn't really go anywhere nor does it make me have any real connection to its characters.

"Capote" is a great study on humanity, easy to watch with academics harder to watch with your buddies.

Empire of the Sun

How has this film flown under the radar for so long? Arguably Spielbergs best film.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

What has been told to me as boring and dry, is actually witty and fun!

This is definitely Kaufmans one to see.

The Master of Disguise

Funny when you are a kid, not so much when you're older.

The Squid and the Whale

This movie was very well done don't get me wrong, it was just at times too hard for me to view, "The Squid and the Whale" portrays magnificently the affects of a broken home and is very challenging to watch.

Punch-Drunk Love

There's something lacking here, although it is one of the better Paul Thomas Anderson films I've seen.

Raging Bull
Raging Bull(1980)

An overly weak Scorsese flick.

Devin Brochu killed this film for having any re-watch value for me, Gordon-Levitt, Portman and Wilson all do fantastically though.

"Paranorman" get the two main things right that I look for in an animated film, great voice casting and amazing visuals.

Some really spectacular visuals here, "Dredd" was enjoyable because it was unexpected, but thinking back there's allot they could've done better.

Requiem for a Dream

It's good for getting its point across but bad at re-watch value, to say I enjoyed "Requiem for a Dream" would be wrong, but it certainly has a strong statement.

A Late Quartet

Really enjoyable movie that flew under the radar, Hoffman and Walken make "A Late Quartet" quite a treat.

The Master
The Master(2012)

Paul Thomas Anderson is really hit or miss for me, although this one didn't miss as bad as "Magnolia" it was still a pretty terrible film, the acting was never off don't get me wrong, it's just that the movie went nowhere and had no meaning, but maybe that was the point.

First Kid
First Kid(1996)

Loved it as a kid, I'd probably despise it now so let's leave it at that.

Sinbad and Hartman fooling around on screen, that's about all "Houseguest" really is.

Life of Pi
Life of Pi(2012)

Quite impressed with "Life of Pi" some parts of it were really corny and just bad altogether, but they made an unfilmable book enjoyable so you've got to give them props for that.

Battle Royale

The original Hunger Games hits stronger then any teenage rom com ever could.

The Thing
The Thing(1982)

I enjoyed "The Thing" for its ability to keep me guessing, it pretty much demands a second viewing, I didn't enjoy it completely because of its terrifying gruesomeness, but I guess that is expected.

Seven Psychopaths

Wow, I'm blown away with "Seven Psychopaths", this movie ruled because of it's witty charm and great action, there is nothing else like this out there, go see this film.

Crazy, Stupid, Love.

It's a really fun family comedy that is heartwarming and not a whole lot else.

The Man Who Wasn't There

Billy Bob Thornton has only been made enjoyable by two (well I guess three) directors, The Coen Brothers and Miyazaki.

Get Low
Get Low(2010)

High expectations, low reactions, "Get Low" is a decent film but easily forgettable and a little lazy.

Barry Lyndon
Barry Lyndon(1975)

Kubrick makes "Barry Lyndon" enjoyable, not the plot.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World

It was like watching two separate movies, I liked the first one full of chaos and confusion but the second one with romance and order was unbefitting to this apocalyptic flick.

There's something about "Flight" that helps the audience relate to it, I can't quite put my finger on it but Denzel hits a home run here.

Best one man show I've ever seen, really shows Sam Rockwells talents.

Waking Ned Devine

Great Irish cinema here, corny yes, but warm hearted none the less.

In Bruges
In Bruges(2008)

This film is really funny, the action/comedy genre can learn allot from "In Bruges"

For all of its faults "Shrink" still made me happy I watched it.

Great court room flick about a tough concept.

As Good as It Gets

It's really quite original, but originality isn't enough to be good entertainment.

Jackass 3
Jackass 3(2010)

When it's not disgustingly vulgar, I enjoy it, Ram Jam was easily the best part of the film.

Fool's Gold
Fool's Gold(2008)

This is the type of hollywood crap that makes me wanna curl up into a ball and cry.

Step Up 2 the Streets

Step it up, out of the theatre.

Killing Them Softly

More boring than anything, I really enjoyed Andrew Dominiks "Assassination of Jesse James" even though it was quite slow but it got somewhere, this one just goes nowhere and isn't entertaining while doing it.

Manhattan Murder Mystery

I'll give it a big ol' meh, could've been better, more irritating than funny really.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone

Call me crazy but I enjoyed Burt Wonderstone, if you go in knowing that the whole thing is corny and isn't gonna push the limits much, you will have a good time.

Cowboy Bebop - Remix: Complete Collection

What more is there to be said about Cowboy Bebop that hasn't already been said? It's fantastic in every aspect of the word.

Hopkins does a great job pulling off the infamous writer/director but it could be so much more.

The Artist
The Artist(2011)

It's allot of fun! Goodman was a treat as well.

Inglourious Basterds

Brad Pitt pretty much makes this film, the middle dragged allot but the opening and closing are incredible.

The Silence of the Lambs

"The Silence of the Lambs" had some really cool scenes and some amazing acting but over all it's just too strange for me to sink my teeth into, Hannibal joke, get it?

Taxi Driver
Taxi Driver(1976)

De Niro pulls off the role fantastically, but with a script that is determined to go nowhere is handed to him he can only do so much.

This Is the Life

Redefined the whole genre for me, any Hip-Hop fan should really watch this.

There Will Be Blood

"There Will Be Blood" packs such an emotional punch that it may even convict you to pick up your Bible and pray you're not as bad as its characters.

Rashomons filming style is way before its time, with a great story and great performances from my favourite Japanese actor, Toshiro Mifune, "Rashomon" is one masterpiece you don't want to miss.

"Fargo" is one of the most original movies I have ever seen, with lots of laughs from the characters and quite the ending it truly contains some terrific dialogue.

Dial M for Murder

"Dial M for Murder" doesn't quite grip the audience as other Hitchcock films and the similarities between this and "Strangers on A Train" are pretty close, but it still does have something to offer that people can enjoy.

Ghostbusters (1984 Original)

"Ghostbusters" is such a great movie experience, although at times it does drag a little it will surely be thought of as one of the greatest cult films.

Casino is a great film with great acting, the only fault I could find with it is it being so similar to "Goodfellas"

Django Unchained

Django is such an original movie experience, slightly less gory than Kill Bill while still packing a punch there is very little for me not to like in this Tarintino masterpiece.

One Piece the Movie: Kaisokuou ni ore wa naru (One Piece Movie: The Great Gold Pirate)

A great short that stays consistent with the Anime and the animation reminds me of other Anime movies such as "Lupin III" or "Princess Mononoke."

Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel hit a home run in this Christmas movie.

The Goonies
The Goonies(1985)

"The Goonies" in one word is "magical", the story is amazing and the characters are funny.

Napoleon Dynamite

"Napoleon Dynamite" introduced me to a whole new style of Comedy that I enjoy much more than main stream humour.

Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown

Highly underrated Charlie Brown movie, I remember watching this with my Siblings and just feeling like I was dreaming.

Toy Story
Toy Story(1995)

What is there to be said about "Toy Story" that hasn't already been said? It's a sweet Disney movie that demands your attention.

The Emperor's New Groove

"The Emperor's New Groove" was so uniquely funny, I really enjoyed the animation and the voice acting is some of the best I've ever heard.

Finding Nemo
Finding Nemo(2003)

"Finding Nemo" is another great movie from my childhood, lots of laughs and heart warming moments to be had.

The Polar Express

It's just a great movie all around, I watch it every Christmas Eve and still love every minute of it.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

One of my favourite of all the Harry Potter movies, "The Goblet of Fire" mixes it up while still staying true to that main story.

The Green Mile

"The Green Mile" is a very different prison movie, I can see why people wouldn't enjoy it but Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan were just so irresistible.

"Argo" was one of the best dramas of 2012, I think people really under estimate Ben Afflecks talent and "Argo" just proves how amazing he really is.

Youth in Revolt

"Youth in Revolt" was funny at parts but really didn't go anywhere, overall it didn't do a lot for me but I enjoyed having Fatlips "What's Up Fatlip" single play through the opening scene.

Kung Fu Hustle

People kept telling me that "Kung Fu Hustle" has great fight scenes not unlike "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and that it was hilarious to boot, all I found here is "Kung Pow" trying to be more serious but failing miserably.

The Longest Yard

"The Longest Yard" is one of the best dumb sports movies you'll ever see, a huge step up from "The Waterboy"

Monsters, Inc.

"Monsters, Inc." is a really well done animated movie with lots of laughs and amazing voice acting. Plus there was a reference to Cowboy Bebop so that made me very happy.

Happy Gilmore

Probably Sandlers best movie, "Happy Gilmore"s dumb comedy is a hole in one.

I couldn't help but like this movie, true there isn't much story here but the acting is fantastic and it kept my attention.

Dr. Dolittle
Dr. Dolittle(1998)

Fun when I was a kid, I'd imagine it greatly less so today and for that reason I refuse to watch it again.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

One of my favourite comedies ever made "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" mixes Candy and Martin well, the laughs only pause for character development.

Donnie Darko
Donnie Darko(2001)

Really well done, "Donnie Darko" is very entertaining while still remaining dark and original.

The Blair Witch Project

This is Horror done right "The Blair Witch Project" keeps you scared without having to resort to blood and guts.

I Love You, Man

Somehow it makes you feel good even with the amount of crude humour in it, "I Love You, Man" is a great bro flick and is just hilarious.

Wreck-it Ralph

This movie was done right enjoyable for all ages, loaded with Nintendo references and well timed jokes, "Wreck-it Ralph" is easily the best animated feature of 2012.

Hitchcock still scares audiences today with "Psycho", a movie before its time never lacking in interesting characters.

Let's Go to Prison

"Let's Go To Prison" is one of those films that isn't good enough for the 5 dollar bin in Wal-Mart.

"Saved!" poses some good questions about Christianity but mocks it out far too much and comes to a rather childish conclusion.

Garden State
Garden State(2004)

"Garden State" is a great little film showcasing Portmans and Braffs talents early on in their careers.

The Waterboy
The Waterboy(1998)

"The Waterboy" showcases Sandlers weirder side, it has some good laughs and lots of Sandlers humour but has one too many gross out moments.

Cinema Paradiso (Nuovo Cinema Paradiso)

"Cinema Paradiso" has some moments that remind you why you fell in love with movies but is about an hour too long and far too sappy.

Waking Life
Waking Life(2001)

"Waking Life" is so unlike anything you've ever seen, it's really a great film for the thinking man for the audience member who is sick of formulatic movie experiences.

The first full Bond movie I sat through, "Skyfall" is very entertaining and has some really cool shots, plus Javier Bardem puts on a really great performance.

Racing Stripes

It's a wanna be "Seabiscuit" that's trying to be funny and for kids.

North by Northwest

Not Hitchcocks best, but far from his worst, "North By Northwest" has some really fun moments but time does not treat this flick well.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

There are a couple pivitol parts cinematically that are important but "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" is more likely to bore than excite.

Around the World in 80 Days

Jackie Chan Y U No make good movies anymore?

The Aviator
The Aviator(2004)

"The Aviator" is fun to watch for the set alone, DiCaprio's performance along with others make it a great film that is really quite entertaining.

The Comedy
The Comedy(2012)

There could be something here with Tim and Eric taking on more serious roles, but the story really is just random and it really doesn't amount to anything.

Couples Retreat

It's more awkward then it is funny.

"Rebecca" is gripping it keeps the audience entertained without having to try that hard at it.

The conclusion makes "Notorious" worthwhile, but its slow movement is its ultimate downfall.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

Well I enjoyed Jim Carey but everything else was tanking quite a bit especially Sean Young, I'm so glad her career never went anywhere.

I was told that "Bridesmaids" was the next funniest thing and it did have a couple funny moments but Kristen Wig comes across as irritating while she thinks she is being endearing.

Yep, it was terrible, I've yet to understand the draw towards Will Forte or Kristen Wig.

"Bernie" really showcases Jack Blacks talents that so many easily write off while trying new ways of telling a story through film.

Safety Not Guaranteed

It's fun, it's original, I'm surprised it hasn't become a hit on campus yet.

The Losers
The Losers(2010)

I knew there wasn't going to be much substance to "The Losers" but I wanted to try it since it was a DC release, but man there is nothing here, absolutely nothing.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

I Don't want to write off the whole beginning, but if it continues to go this way we may have a repeat of the Star Wars saga.

Attack the Block

"Attack The Block" is loaded with style, originality and talented young actors.

If it wasn't for Bill Murray and John Candy "Stripes" would be just another crappy 80's movie. There isn't a whole lot going for it but Murray and Candy have a couple of funny lines.

The Royal Tenenbaums

Both heartbreaking and heartwarming, The Royal Tenenbaums is both hilarious and relatable.

Summer Wars (Sama Wozu)

Another great Anime from this writer, very entertaining and even watchable for date night.

One of the best Super-Hero movies ever made, Kick-Ass is so unique and dark that it feels like we're finally getting away from the corniness of the super-hero genre

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Cera shows his talent in this unique movie that gamers will eat up, "Scott Pilgrim" is the mix of nerdy and funny that we have all been looking for.

The Dark Knight

Heath Ledger will forever be remembered for his role as the joker, "The Dark Knight" is so eerily wonderful it jumps off the screen at you.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

Brad Pitt and Casey Afflack make an excellent duo, "The Assassination Of Jesse James" is a great flick for a rainy day.

American Splendor

"American Splendor" is original, witty and relatable, the visuals are fun and the way the movie is portrayed is all its own.

Training Day
Training Day(2001)

One of the best Denzel Washington movies ever made, "Training Day" is just fantastic.

One of Wes Andersons best movies, showcasing both the talents of Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

A beautiful piece of cinema about love, desperation and learning to live with the human condition.

The Truman Show

This is Jim Carrey at his best, amazing acting plus an amazing story, there is little wrong with "The Truman Show"

What a waste of time, musicals are hard enough for me to sit through, but "Rent" really just irritates me to no end.

I went in to "Looper" with high hopes, I'm a big fan of Joeseph Gordon Levitt and I saw that it was getting great reviews on RT, but after watching it I felt kinda cheated, the ending wasn't great and they had a chance to do so much more with this movie.

Into the Wild

The end of this movie makes it worth the watch, although I didn't emotionally connect or relate to the main character in "Into The Wild" there is still something to be learned here.

Blazing Saddles

Doesn't quite stand up to what people made it out to be, but still had some good laughs throughout.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead

It had such a chance to be a truly great movie but "Before The Devil Knows You're Dead" relies heavily on the vulgar to give it a passing grade.

Your Highness

It's about as funny as the cover makes it look, do yourself a favour and watch "Pineapple Express" instead of this DOA piece of trash.

500 Days of Summer

My intro to Joeseph Gordon Levitt and a mediocore one at that, (500) Days of Summer has some great moments, but most of it just barely passes the bar.

2001: A Space Odyssey

At certain times I love "2001: A Space Odyssey" and at others I hate it, it's one of the movies with so many layers that it's hard not to over analyze and miss the point completely.

Blue Like Jazz

It's similar and far from the book at the same time, the one thing that "Blue Like Jazz" definitely kept was its main purpose and its rough around the edges soft on the inside mentality.

The only thing appalling about "Brave" is the painful accents with a few of its characters, the rest is stunning.

The Campaign
The Campaign(2012)

Yet another Ferrell movie that barely passes the bar but this time he's bringing Galifianakis down with him. Plus seeing Aykroyd in such bad shape was disheartening.

Princess Mononoke (Mononoke-hime)

So much to analyze in this Studio Ghibli release, unlike all the other movies that are pushing for us to go green, "Princess Mononoke" simply suggest it and lets us come to the conclusion ourselves.

Dr Seuss' The Lorax

Despite Ed Helms efforts "The Lorax" is just a soulless piece of garbage that is DOA.

Fight For Your Right Revisited

Just absolutely brilliant, haven't laughed this hard in a long time!

Mary and Max
Mary and Max(2009)

Sometime throughout "Mary and Max" you do start to feel some sympathy and compassion for its characters, but the oddness of the whole thing just wouldn't let me enjoy it to its fullness.

I'm just astonished that "Glory" isn't held in the highest regard from cinema fans, Washington, Broderick, Freeman and Elwes all show how impressive and diverse actors they can be.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi

The amount of effort and preparation Jiro puts into his art is insane, "Jiru Dreams of Sushi" shows the audience that anything can be made into an artform.

21 Jump Street

Its hilarious one liners don't make up for its recycled plot and overall corniness. "21 Jump Street" is a good movie if you want to just turn your brain off and not sweat the big stuff.

Ip Man 2: Legend of the Grandmaster

Nowhere near as good as its predecessor, but still a friggin' good kung fu movie with lots of action.

Ip Man
Ip Man(2010)

One of the best Kung-Fu movies I've ever seen, "Ip Man" is full of action and has an amazing story about how much difference one mans actions can make.

Being John Malkovich

If you're into the existential, I'll say you'll probably enjoy "Being John Malkovich" but if you're not into that sort of thing your probability of enjoying this film is slim to none.

Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump(1994)

With so many random nonsensical moments somehow "Forrest Gump" pulls it all together and it becomes a very endearing story.

I Heart Huckabees

The acting in "I Heart Huckabees" is top of the line but the material is just freaking weird.

Monty Python's Life of Brian

If you're a fan of "Monty Python" I'm sure that you'll enjoy "The Life of Brian" on some level, and their is some witty jokes on it, but over-all the repetitiveness and the voices were a little over the top.

High Fidelity

"High Fidelity" is in my mind John Cusacks best role, the script is very witty and clever, the cast is hilarious and it's just so relatable for the average man.

The Dark Knight Rises

I was afraid that all the pieces wouldn't fit together for this ending of the trilogy, but they really do! Bane is an awesome villain and Joeseph Gordon Levitt is a refreshing addition to the already talented cast.

Enter the Dragon

Bruce Lee takes it to dark new places, usually tournament style movies such as this get repetitive and often bore me, but "Enter The Dragon" mixes it up enough to make it one of Bruce Lee's best.

Rear Window
Rear Window(1954)

"Rear Window" is one of those movies that is so essential to pop culture references that watching it makes "The Simpsons" Pool episode so much funnier. The set is also amazing in this 50's movie.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Well the main concern here is that I already saw Tobey Maguire tackle this exact role, they try so hard to make it different, but the key points that are essential in Spiderman were missing I.E. "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility." I'm looking forward to the sequel though.

American History X

"American History X" is one of the most terrifying movies I've ever sat through, not because of the gore but because of the pure hate displayed by Norton and the rest of the cast.

"Goodfellas" is very much like "The Godfather" but is more easily accepted by people who may not be a fan of the genre. The only downfall of "Goodfellas" is that it walks us through step by step when I want some confusion once in a while.

I keep trying Seth MacFarlane again and again expecting to finally understand the draw to him, I just don't get it, "Ted" has a couple moments that made me chuckle but the majority of the movie was predictable and just not that creative.

A Christmas Story

This movie was just bizarre and I usually enjoy bizarre but this was just too much.

"Sicko" paints a very real picture of how wrong the american health plan is.

The Iron Giant

This movie is very close to being inappropriate for children, but it's original.

"Persepolis" is a great adaptation from the books that fans will be pleasantly surprised, but newbies may not find themselves enjoying it as much..

12 Angry Men (Twelve Angry Men)

"12 Angry Men" shows the struggle of not letting our stereotypical views get the better of us especially when the stakes are high.

Jeff Who Lives at Home

Besides a couple of the more radical thinking moments "Jeff, Who Lives At Home" is a terrific little film.

Midnight in Paris

"Midnight in Paris" is one of those rom coms that most guys can enjoy on some level.

No Country for Old Men

"No Country for Old Men" is a great movie until it reaches its rather upsetting end that mostly leaves the audience upset with no real resolve.

Moonrise Kingdom

This is Wes Andersons "Sistine Chapel", His "Dark Side Of The Moon", His "Ocarina of Time." "Moonrise Kingdom" is beyond excellence, it's cinematic art at its finest.

Theres only been a couple instances that I can not make it through a film, this was one of those instances.

"Marley" paints a picture of the legendary singer so well that after the lengthy film you feel like you know him personally.

The Break-Up
The Break-Up(2006)

I felt like I was in my awkward friends house listening to their nearly divorced parents fight.

The Fast and the Furious

This is the greatest part of "The Fast and The Furious" franchise, from here on it all goes downhill.

Public Enemies

Johnny Depp and Christian Bale make excellent enemies in this Gangster film that screams originality.

Fast & Furious

This franchise sucks, and the sooner the world realizes it, the better.

The Terminal
The Terminal(2004)

"The Terminal" may be Tom Hanks best performance, he takes on a very hard role that only a man of his talent could achieve, "The Terminal" is an amazing feel good movie!

"Fiightplan" was a forgettable movie that had some alright moments.

Does justice to the show while making the transition to the big screen with ease.

Fight Club
Fight Club(1999)

First rule of "Fight Club" showcase how amazing an actor Edward Norton is Second rule of "Fight Club" make the majority of the film terrible.

It's so ridiculous but the CGI is impressive and the theories on trolls make this movie hilarious! "Trollhunter" is a great film to watch and laugh with your buddies.

Canadian Bacon

This makes me embarrassed to be Canadian.

Bottle Rocket

The first Wes Anderson delivers lots of laughs, action and a romance to boot.

Crocodile Dundee

It's funny and original and made us love Australia for a couple of minutes.

Crocodile Dundee II

A very unnecessary sequel to the barely passable first.

The Incredibles

Another great Pixar film, "The Incredibles" seems to jump right from comic book to movie, but it actually skipped the first step.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

This movie is phenomenal, Wes Anderson stays true to his style while making a movie for all ages.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

A great addition to the Madagascar series, with lots of talented voice actors.

Safe House
Safe House(2012)

By the time this movie does get interesting, it is almost over, "Safe House" is just another mediocre movie added to Denzels resume.

Gangs of New York

"Gangs Of New York" has an all star cast that all put on magnificent performances, from John C Riley to Cameron Diaz, everyone can enjoy "Gangs Of New York."

The King's Speech

"The King's Speech" is a great mix of drama and history with top of the line acting.

Away We Go
Away We Go(2009)

Meh, I thought it was going to be better but it was pretty dry.

Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story

"Gifted Hands" is very inspirational, more of an in class movie than anything though.

This brings back some awesome memories from my childhood, "UHF" is a great comedy flick that is if you find really odd/stupid humour endearing.

Apollo 13
Apollo 13(1995)

Ron Howard, Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon bring their A-Game.

The Secret World of Arrietty

Studio Ghibli hits another home run, "The Secret World Of Arrietty" is a great children's flick that is also a great first for newbies to Anime.

Cool Hand Luke

Best prison movie ever made, hands down.

Just Go with It

"Just Go With It" wants so badly to be a good movie, it just seems to never find itself in the script, it's definitely not Sandlers worst, but it's far from his best.

By˘soku 5 senchimŕtoru (5 Centimeters per Second) (A Chain of Short Stories about Their Distance)

A movie for lovesick anime fans, that is more like a 3 part anime series.

Guess Who
Guess Who(2005)

"Guess Who" hated this movie? This guy!

Mary Poppins
Mary Poppins(1964)

Meh, it's alright I guess.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Just because it's old doesn't mean it's good.

A Samurai movie that is up there with "Seven Samurai", Yojimbo is funny and action packed, it's very enjoyable for everybody!

17 Again
17 Again(2009)

If it wasn't Zac Efron it would be allot more enjoyable.

Cop Out
Cop Out(2010)

Yep this sure was a "Cop Out."

Super boring for a kids movie.

Brother Bear
Brother Bear(2003)

Wouldn't stand out in a crowd of animated movies but it has some enjoyability to it.

The Pianist
The Pianist(2002)

An amazing movie well acted by Adrien Brody that will make you feel for the Jewish people in Poland.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

It has such an original plot but the repetitiveness of it all gets to you in the end.

October Sky
October Sky(1999)

The acting is great it's just fairly mundane.

What Women Want

What people want is a better movie than this!

Toy Story 3
Toy Story 3(2010)

A more darker addition in the Toy Story trilogy, "Toy Story 3" almost feels like it is playing to its long time fans who are now adults like Andy.

The Lost World - Jurassic Park

This world should have stayed lost because it's highly over rated and pretty boring.

The Illusionist

It's pretty enjoyable but the unfortunate thing about "The Illusionist" is that "The Prestige" came out around the same time and took away all the attention.

The Brothers Grimm

I remember just being confused this whole movie.

Where the action is lacking, the plot and acting are spot on making "Harakiri" a very important film for any Japanese cinema fanatic.

It never lives up to the movie I thought it would be, "Seabiscuit" is all build up with little to no pay off.

Erleuchtung garantiert (Enlightenment Guaranteed)

Starts off looking promising, but the last 45minutes or so will convince you that "Enlightenment Guaranteed" is just an okay movie.

13 Assassins
13 Assassins(2011)

It's truly a great Samurai film, the only thing wrong with it is that at certain points it may step over the line.

The Savages
The Savages(2007)

It's so dark that it ends up being one of those movies you can really only watch once.

The Big Lebowski

Instant cult classic film "The Big Lebowski" offers lots of laughs.

Death Race
Death Race(2008)

I like the overall corniness to Death Race it's such a guy film it's not funny, if you want a no thinker for a guys night this would do just fine.

Demetri Martin - Person

One of the best comedians I've had the honour to watch at work with some of his best material.

Paper Heart
Paper Heart(2009)

I enjoyed the originality of "Paper Heart" but over all it was just an okay movie.

Taking Woodstock

I thought this would be full of Demetri Martins humour, but it seems to lack any humour and is just kind of a snooze fest.

The Incredible Hulk

Edward Norton will always be my favourite Hulk, his work on this movie is impressive, it just really sucks he didn't get to be the Hulk on The Avengers.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

My favourite full length Anime movie, "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" is both endearing and mysterious.

Marvel's The Avengers

I didn't think they'd get all the pieces together, but what do you know, some how they pulled it off.

An Extremely Goofy Movie

I loved the first one so the sequel didn't quite live up to my expectations.

A Goofy Movie

Quite possibly my favourite Disney movie!

Blood Diamond

"Blood Diamond" was simply an amazing movie, it's great to see Hollywood actually hitting topics that are important for the betterment of our planet, awareness is important but action is where things begin to change.

Cars 2
Cars 2(2011)

Making Mater the main character in "Cars 2" was such a huge mistake, Larry The Cable Guy is far from talented and this movie is hard evidence of it.

Grave of the Fireflies (Hotaru no haka)

This is quite possibly the saddest cartoon ever made.

The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3

It was a stupid concept to begin with.

Not a completely original piece but still one of the funniest kid's movies released lately.

It's unfortunate that some part of this movie can be so refreshing and other parts be so awful, ultimately the awful parts get to you and "Magnolia" doesn't live up to its reputation.

Hotel Chevalier

A rather rotten start to "The Darjeeling Limited"

Man on Fire
Man on Fire(2004)
