Classified: Just Rotten

Defining Moment: The test flight against the computer driven planes, it shows off Hal's attitude towards authority but also gives the audience insight into his 'fear'.

Highs:
Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan was the right choice, even though the script did not help his depiction. The action was pretty good and Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond was great. Story was OK. Mark Strong is always good.

Lows:
The storyline felt weak, rushed and shallow. The special effects at times looked horrible; it's not all about special effects, I know, but when partnered with below average storytelling it is a bad mix. There was some real awkward dialogue as well.

H&L Conclusion:
Pretty underwhelming film in which the audience wishes it could have been so much more. The special effects really distracted especially Hal's suit, it was almost comical at times. It needed more depth and danger! Seemed a little bit of a mess struggling to connect emotionally with those who are watching.
