So we got a princess on the run with an item of importance to an evil empire, said item ends up in a peasant boy's hands, peasant boy loses uncle to soldiers looking for the item, peasant boy gets elderly mentor who teaches him about a near-extinct group of warriors and combat, presents him with his father's sword, a rebellion is being led against empire, evil sorcerer who kills elderly mentor.....THIS IS STAR WARS!!!!!

Tremors (1990)
5 months ago via Rotten Tomatoes

Though plagued by the irritating monster movie cliche of only the best-looking actors surviving while all the unattractive actors perish, Tremors flawlessly balances humor and monster movie themes. Arguably the best combo of horror and humor since An American Werewolf in London. Tremors gets a 4/5.

Ex Machina
Ex Machina (2015)

Only have one thing to say about this almost-perfect masterpiece....WHAT KIND OF AN ENDING IS THAT?! Would've given a 5/5 if it wasn't for that shitty muddled ending that leaves WAY too many unanswered questions....unless you're trying to say that deep down, women are manipulative monsters even in robot form, which would be kinda dark. But overall, it's a sci-fi film that is as magnificent as Ghost in the Shell (not the recent live action one, the classic anime film)...were it not for that crap ending. Ex Machina gets a 3.5/5...sorry but I feel a shitty ending with unanswered question deserves a good slap back since it's basically a slap in the face.
