Mackenzie R.'s Movie Ratings - Rotten Tomatoes

Movie Ratings and Reviews

Angelina Jolie's performance as a struggling mother was outstanding. I'm not a huge fan of her work, but she really did a wonderful job in this movie. The movie was pretty good, it was a little climactic and the resolution seemed a bit out of nowhere. But overall, it was a decent movie.

P.S. I Love You

Oh man, what a romance. First off, I would like to say *disclaimer* This movie is VERY depressing. Most find it hard to watch, but I was fine. I was just very sad. So definitely get out the tissues for this one. But other than that, this was actually a very beautiful movie. It was realistic in the way that sometimes the love of someone's life dies. It's sad, but it happens. It's not like it's sad the whole time. There is some really great romance and really funny parts thrown in there too. I thought this movie was good.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Andrew Garfield was incredible. His acting was outstanding. He did such a great job with all of his strongest emotions. Also, I can honestly say I fell even more madly in love with spider-man than I already was, and that's saying something. I must say I like Garfield better than Tobey Maguire although I think he did a good job too. I haven't read the comic books (YET), so I can't really say anything about that. Although, I have heard that they are more accurate. Also the scoring of the movie was spot-on and beautiful. The teenage love story was well done. Garfield and Stone played off each other flawlessly. Also Rhys Ifans was fantastic. He was definitely one of my favorite villians. He is a very talented actor. A very, very good movie. I will have to say it is a must-see, in my opinion.

500 Days of Summer

Very funny, and very sweet. I absolutely love this movie. These are two of my favorite actors, and they did such a great job with their performances. I easily fell in love with both of them. I love how this movie is almost a tragedy, but then you realize that life goes on. It's very realistic and I think many people can relate to it.

I love the visual elements used in this movie. It's dark and yet beautiful. The performance from Gerard Butler is so strong and powerful. I think he did a wonderful job with such a violent character. An overall decent movie.

10 Things I Hate About You

A wonderful movie for teenagers. It is impossible not to fall in love with Heath Ledger. Even just a little bit. It wasn't only funny, It was also really touching. I think many young people can relate.

A really cute movie. I recommend.

The Dark Knight Rises

Wow, what a way to end a trilogy. I was so afraid that this one wouldn't live up to The Dark Knight. But I was pleasantly surprised. I thought there was no way that someone could come even CLOSE to Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker. But once again, I was proven wrong. Tom Hardy was actually fantastic as Bane. I don't know if he was better than Heath Ledger, but still he did a marvelous job. Great movie. Must-see.

End of the Spear

This movie was fantastic. I mean, wow. It was so touching a powerful. The fact that this was a true story makes it even better. The acting was solid. I would say definitely watch it, especially if you're a christian.

The Omen
The Omen(2006)

A very satisfying movie. I didn't think it was as bad as some people say. It was so creepy and intense at some parts that I couldn't help but be happy with it. I haven't seen the original so I can't compare the two. But overall, I have to say I was okay with this film.

Pride and Prejudice

One of my favorite films of all time. So beautifully made and gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. The romance is so terrifically done, it makes me want to cry. (Tears of joy, of course.) The acting is incredible. The chemistry between Knightly and Macfadyen is spot on. I feel like I should have put this entire review in Caps Lock, it was that good. I definitely recommend.

Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book

Definitely very interesting. I thought this movie was okay. The first parts of it are just a little slow, but it gets better. I actually kind of found myself caught up in the romance. The acting was good too. A pretty good movie.

Christmas With the Kranks

I am going to have to disagree with most people, I actually liked this movie. I guess I'm not too harsh on Christmas movies. They just get me in the mood for the holidays, so I don't really hate any of them. I think it's pretty funny, but not like bust your side laughing funny. Not super terrible.

Gnomeo and Juliet

Trying to make Romeo and Juliet into a kid's animated film is a very difficult to do and I have to say I think they did a pretty good job of it. It was definitely very interesting using lawn gnomes. But I thought it was really cute and very bright and cheery for being such a dark story, which I think is okay in a children's film. I recommend this for family night.

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas

One of my favorite Christmas movies. Very funny, beautiful imagery, great performance from Jim Carrey. This movie never fails to make me smile around the holiday season.

The Brothers Grimm

Putting all of the cheesy effects aside, I think this movie was actually pretty good. I agree with some people, it is a little messy and all over the place. But it's not that bad. For me, it was easy to overlook. Matt Damon and Heath Ledger (Man,I still can't believe he's gone) were incredibly charming and funny. There was some really great chemistry between them. Overall, a decent movie.

A very inspirational story, that was very well worked into a film. Beautifully put together, fine acting, nicely constructed script. I especially love the scene with the poem. I think that scene was done very well. An overall good movie. I recommend.

I haven't watched the show that much at all, so I'm not really able to compare the two. But I think it was okay. It was a bit average. Not that funny, but it still got a couple of laughs and quite a few smiles. I am also a huge Will Ferrel fan and it think he did really well. Well, I think all of the actors did well.

Edge of Darkness

This film is kind of in the middle for me. I didn't just love it, but it wasn't too bad. The mystery was pretty good. It was a little gory. There were a couple of really sad parts, but not so bad it makes you want to curl up in a corner for the rest of your life. I was surprised and jumped a few times, which I liked. And the ending was decent, kind of had that bittersweet effect.

The Prestige
The Prestige(2006)

I was VERY impressed with this movie. I expected it to be pretty good, but not this good. I would have to say that this superb movie has turned out to be one of my favorites. It takes you on an insane rollercoaster full of twists, turns, and mind-bending madnees. There was such emotion in the performances, it was so believable and I found myself crying at parts. It was beautiful in a dark, sinister way. I got so into this movie, I felt like I was going to explode with conflicting emotions. Mind-blowing. Incredible. A wonderful movie. MUST-SEE.

Date Night
Date Night(2010)

I thought it was decent. It's action was pretty exciting, the actors were delightfully funny. But sadly, there wasn't anything completely memorable except for maybe a few parts. Overall, it wasn't a bad movie. It had likeable characters, an interesting plot, and pretty good humor.

Lord of the Flies

I think the book and movie are both good in different ways. That is where most of the harsh criticism is coming from. The movie cut out alot of the symbolic philosophy of the book. But I think the movie got the book's point and seriousness across well. The movie was very sinister and dark like the book. They both showed even the most innocent and young souls can be corrupted. The movie just by itself and keeping all thoughts of the book out, was decent. The acting of the boy that played Piggy was pretty bad. But I thought that Jack, Ralph, and Simon were decent along with the other less important little boys. But I'm not going to be too harsh on a little boy's acting. Overall, a pretty good movie. It gave me some thrills.

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1

Wow, just wow. I think this was the worst one so far. I think the budget has gone down alot, because most of it was really cheesy. It had some good parts. Kristen Stewart's acting has improved alot, that is one of the good things about this movie. But I laughed at things that I'm not sure I was supposed to laugh at. I just about cried laughing actually. I am a huge fan of the books, but I think the movies just make the books look terrible. I am not one of those people who are bashing on the movies because I think the whole idea of it is stupid. I love the books, I think they had so much potential. But they just kind of ruined it for the fans who actually see the movies to see the books brought to life, and not to stare at hot guys taking their shirts off. Terrible movie, don't waste your time.

Water for Elephants

This movie certainly got several emotions out of me. I was so into this movie, I found myself laughing, crying, and gritting my teeth. I loves movies like that. The ones that get you so interested and involved. I thought it was beautifully made with so many visual delights with the circus and the party scenes. I recommend.

Reign of Fire

Apparently, people don't like this movie too much. But I didn't think it was all that bad. It wasn't the greatest fantasy action movie ever. It didn't really keep me on the edge of my seat, though maybe a few scenes it did. And some of it was pretty dull. But there were some thrilling moments and an overall pretty interesting movie. The performances were pretty good. Nothing all that bad, but nothing too memorable.

Dear Frankie
Dear Frankie(2005)

A truely heart-breaking, yet warm movie that tugs on your heartstrings but isn't overly sad. Very touching, with great performances. An incredible movie that had me glued to my TV the whole time.

Young Frankenstein

Incredibly clever with so many good laughs all the way through. Easily one of the best spoof movies I've seen. The acting was great, everything about this movie is great. Must-see. I also saw the broadway production of it. It was just as good.

The Quiet Man

I'm just not really into this kind of movie, I guess. But I just wasn't as impressed with this movie as everyone else seems to be. I found it to be kind of bland and boring. The performances were good, I just wasn't into the plot or anything.

Well the whole one long, continuous shot thing was pretty cool though I suspected they cut whenever they went to the back of someones coat and it went black. I still think it was interesting though. But the whole plot was kind of boring to me. It was okay, but the ending really angered me. I thought it was pretty stupid. I get the whole 'Leaving it open' kind of thing, but I don't know. This was just kind of...meh.

The Birds
The Birds(1963)

Meh, it was pretty good. I know it's not fair to compare the effects in this movie to those of today's movies, but I just thought they were pretty stupid looking. But I guess back then, they would be okay. It gave me a pretty good laugh though. Kind of slow and the end was a bit of a disappointment. Not one of Hitchcock's best. But it was pretty good.

Four Christmases

I guess it was okay. Nothing really made me laugh out loud. Nothing really warmed my heart. Nothing really intrigued me all that much. It was a cute movie. Kind of.

Steel Magnolias

Excellent movie. Heart-warming, though miserably sad through some of it. This is a terrific movie to watch mother/daughter. Or even just a girl's night. Fabulous performances, rib-cracking humor. This movie's got it all.

Remember the Titans

There are several good sports movies out there, but this one is seriously one of the greatests. Its inspiring, exciting, and endearing. Also great performances from the cast. I recommend.

I expected exciting, thrilling, and touching. What I got was boring, strange, and more boring. The natural disaster scene was at least a little bit interesting. But the movie went pretty downhill from there. And that was the opening scene. I could hardly pay attention because it was so dull. But I guess it wasn't terrible. Looking on the bright side, I have seen worse.

The Pursuit of Happyness

A very endearing story with excellent performances and an overall beautiful...Oh, I don't know. Aura, I guess? Truely heart-warming. I was extremely touched. I recommend.

The Three Musketeers

I honestly don't see what is so bad about this movie. I thought the acting was great. The storyline was good. It was exciting. The fight scenes were thrilling, and it was quite a spectacle. The only thing I didn't really like about it was all of the loose ends they left at the end of the movie. It was left to where there would be a sequel, but there were too many things left.

When a Stranger Calls

A very predictable, non-suspenseful film. Suspense is good, but only if you do it right. If you fill a suspense movie with cliches, it's not going to do very well. Just not a good movie.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose

I'm not completely sure about this one. I hardly jumped or got scared. The exorcism scenes were probably my favortie part. It was kind of scary. The storyline was a bit slow and the ending was anti-climactic which was kind of disappointing. But overall, it was an okay movie. It was still pretty thrilling through some parts. Not the worst horror movie I've ever seen.

Dracula 2000
Dracula 2000(2000)

Well I haven't seen any of the other Dracula movies, so I can't really compare them to Dracula 2000. But I thought it was an okay movie. I kind of liked the twist on who Dracula was. I think it was cool in the way of taking the original story, and putting a modern spin on it. I didn't think it was that bad, but still I haven't seen the other Dracula's.

The Hills Have Eyes

A incredibly gory movie that is incredibly difficult to watch. For all the gory horror movie lovers out there, I recommend this movie. For people with weak stomachs, I think you should stay away. I enjoyed it, but some of the gore was too much for me. I had to look away several times. I thought it was very climactic though. The action towards the end was very exciting though still very gory. I thought it was a pretty good movie, especially with friends who are easily scared.

Source Code
Source Code(2011)

Now THIS is a good movie. I loved everything about this movie. The good pace, the talented actors, the intense action, the overall plot, an interesting twist, the touching romance. Everything about this movie was absolutely incredible. A must-see!

The Day After Tomorrow

I REALLY hate movies that are full of messages like global warming is bad and we are killing the earth, but when I watch this movie from a fictional perspective, it's an okay movie. If it weren't for the effects and the intense disaster sequences, this movie would be pretty terrible though. But there is one thing that doesn't really make sense to me, that they said in the movie...In the movie, a man says something about another Ice Age happening. Well they say that we are causing this Ice Age and that it's all our faults it is happening. But what about back when the first Ice Age happened? Did the people back then cause that? After all, they didn't have the devices that cause what scientists say is the cause of global warming today. So basically back then, the earth just kind of did it. So how do we know that this time WE did anything to cause it? How do we not know whether the earth just decided to do whatever it did the last time we had an Ice Age? I kind of turned this review into my rant about global warming, but oh well. I think it's dumb.

Avalon High
Avalon High(2010)

I haven't read the book or anything, but this wasn't that bad of a Disney Channel movie. Usually the movies are uninteresting, cheesy, and well...not good. But this time, I wasn't as dissappointed. The acting was pretty good. I like the overall plot, it was pretty entertaining. The twist at the end was very predictable though. But it was still interesting.

Race to Witch Mountain

I would say this is a good sci-fi movie for younger audiences. Like, elementary school young. But it's definitely not a good movie for anyone over those ages. I felt it was kind of dull and not very thrilling. Parts of it were cheesy also. I think the acting was pretty good. But sadly, that didn't make the movie any better. Not terrible, just not very good.

The Smurfs
The Smurfs(2011)

Very colorful...And that's about the only good thing I have to say about this movie. I am usually fairly patient with childrens' movies, but this one was just flat-out bad. I laughed once, and not even that hard. So the comedy was lacking quite a bit. Boring, also. I think it would be an okay movie to get your kids if they are five or younger. But spare yourself, and leave the room whenever they decide to watch it.

The Secret Life of Bees

For having been based on a book, it was really good. I love a good book, but sometimes Hollywood tries to put it on the big screen and it just doesn't work. Alot of the time the movie versions are huge dissappointments. (EX. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) But this one wasn't bad. It was a little sad, but very heart-warming and touching. I think Hollywood did a pretty good job on this one.

A heart-warming, inspirational story that is appropriate for families. I'm not a huge fan of horse movies. But this one was actually really good. Very entertaining.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2

Truely epic. An incredibly phenomenal movie. This is definitely my favorite out of all of the movies. It was well put together, visually stunning in a dark sense, and very fast-paced. The heart-breaking scenes had an impact that was very impressive and the action scenes were thrilling. One of the best movies I've ever seen in my life.

The Man Who Knew Too Little

I am a huge Bill Murray fan. So when I found this movie on Netflix one day, I thought I would give it a shot. It wasn't disappointing at all. I have to say, I really enjoyed this movie. People say that it's an English comedy, but I'm American and I still thought it was funny. Fun and exciting. I enjoyed watching every bit of it.

Whispers: An Elephant's Tale

I'm not crazy about the live-action animal movies. But this one was really bad, I have to say. I couldn't pay attention at all, so I highly doubt that a small child would. I felt that it was incredibley boring and kind of wierd. It didn't entertain me or inspire me in the least. Don't waste your time on this movie.

Exceptional performances from the actors. Interesting plot. I wouldn't say the ending was a twist, but it was entertaining. The setting had that thriller kind of atmosphere which I liked. I would say this was an overall okay movie.

Unlike many others, I have to say I wasn't too impressed with this Pixar film. It was still a nice movie. But I felt it would go over children's heads. Sure, it is about a talking mouse, and it is visually brilliant. But I don't think it is enough to keep kids interested. It might engage some, but generally I don't think it would be enough. But a pretty good movie for more mature audiences.

A good story. BUT, the shaky camera ruined the whole thing. It wasn't done well at all. It just annoyed me, and I spent most of the movie screaming. And not from the scares, but from the frustration of trying to understand with the camera bouncing around wildly. I hated this movie just because of the camera work.

Freaky Friday

A highly enjoyable remake that is funny and entertaining all the way through. A wonderful family for mother and daughter bonding. Jamie Lee Curtis is just as loveable as always.

The Polar Express

I will have to disagree with others on this one. I really enjoyed The Polar Express.

The settings were wonderous and stunning, but the animated people were a bit odd looking.

The overall voicecast was great. Tom Hanks was very entertaining. He really emphasized his character well.

Families will love this heart-warming story full of wacky situations and plenty of holiday spirit!

Madea Goes to Jail

Truthfully, the only parts I liked were the parts with Madea in it. Most of the time, Madea wasn't even in it. Why are you going to call it MADEA goes to Jail, when most of the time it's not even about Madea. But when she was on there, I was laughing so hard.

Monsters, Inc.

This movie is absolutely amazing. There is so much about this movie that is just great. The voice cast goes very well together and really make the characters come to life and seem so real. The animation is very good, especially with Sully's fur. Also very beautifully sad. A very funny and touching family film that will not disappoint.

Finding Nemo
Finding Nemo(2003)

Another incredible Pixar film. Visually breath-taking. Great voice cast. Funny, touching, and exciting. This movie has it all. Very, very good movie.

The Shining
The Shining(1980)

I wasn't as scared as I was disturbed, but this is a very good horror film that people will remember for a very long time. Oh, and Jack Nicholson was incredible.

Nanny McPhee
Nanny McPhee(2006)

I rather liked this film.

There was so much color and brightness. Its fantasy was so fun and refreshing, I was deeply amused. The acting and storyline was also good.

An enjoyable and loveable family movie.

Million Dollar Baby

Absolutely beautiful and brilliant. Overwhelmingly touching. It's really hard to put into words just how great this movie is.

Open Season
Open Season(2006)

I thought this one was a pretty cute, okay movie. I laughed here and there. But not the greatest animated movie ever made.

I'm going to have to disagree with the critics once more and say that this was a pretty good movie. I laughed quite a bit. The animation isn't the greatest, but it was nice for little kids to enjoy. I thought it was touching too. Not the best animated movie, but it wasn't as awful as people make it out to be. Oh, and some people had an issue with the male cow or bull or whatever having an udder...Well this is a kid's movie. They couldn't have gone with the more realistic option.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop

Kevin James is absolutely hilarious. A highly amusing movie that is family fun all throughout.

A cute twist on the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Funny and enjoyable. The animation was really lacking though. But the clever storyline keeps you interested.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

An absolute classic. I adored its lovable, easy-going nature and the dazzling romance.

Hotel for Dogs

Very unmemorable. The dogs were cute but the overall movie was just...ugh. I was bored. It wasn't very entertaining. Maybe a good movie for young viewers...very young viewers.

A cute movie for teenage girls. And ONLY teenage girls.

The Ring
The Ring(2002)

The whole thing was pretty scary and disturbing (especially disturbing with the horse part), but not too intense until the well-known TV scene. A very memorable movie with a chilling plot and fine acting.

The Grudge
The Grudge(2004)

Just a bunch of people dying...that's all it is. Ooh, what a great plot...She said sarcastically. It was kind of interesting though.

House on Haunted Hill

The movie is pretty intense and scary, up until the very end. The climax was lacking a little. But overall, it was an enjoyable movie that wasn't completely terrible.

Letters to Juliet

Well it was cute, I guess. Nothing great. I was a little bored, but a sweet movie about cute old people romance.

The Spongebob Squarepants Movie

One of the funniest animated movies ever. I adore this movie and all of the silly humor it provides. The story is super entertaining and fast paced. I love the show and the movie was no where near a disappointment. I highly recommend.

Daddy Day Care

Very cute and funny with a sweet message behind it. A wonderful movie to bring families together with great laughs.

Fred: The Movie

Awful. I enjoyed Fred's first videos. They were actually funny. But now, its gotten so annoying and stupid. Very childish humor that probably even young kid's wouldn't find funny. And some of the content was a little mature for younger viewers too. I didn't like this movie at all.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

An enjoyable movie. Alfred Molina was quite good, I was impressed with his performance. The fighting scenes were pretty interesting and creative. A nice movie.

The Emperor's New Groove

Absolutely hilarious. It was one of the funniest Disney movies I have ever seen. The plot was completely interesting and enjoyable. It's full of family fun. A highly enjoyable movie.

This movie was just...Hmmm, I don't really know. Let me break it down.

The things I liked about it:
The action- The disaster scenes gave me chillbumps. I enjoyed the graphics and the violence.
The plot- The story was original and it started out as a good end of the world kind of movie.

The things I didn't like:
The ending- Oh my goodness, this was probably one of the worst endings I've ever seen in a movie...ever. I was so disappointed and frustrated.

If you decide you are going to watch this movie, do not look forward to the ending being anything special. You might just want to stop the movie with like 10 minutes left, and just make up your own ending.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

This is probably my favorite of all of the movies so far. I loved every bit of it. The story (Thanks to the book) is wonderful. It is visually stunning, beautifully dark. Incredible.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Very good. Exciting, interesting. A good movie to keep the story moving along.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I love how as the story progresses, the movies get darker. It shows how serious and dangerous their situation is as they mature. I thought this one was pretty good. It was exciting and fun to watch. Not the best of the movies, but still good.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

I loved this one. I thought it was better than the first two. Also I love Professor Lupin's character. A beautifully dark movie that is interesting and intense.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

This might be my least favorite of the movies. But, I still like it. A good way to keep the series going.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

A good beginning. Definitely not the best of all the movies. But it was a good start to get it going. I liked how it stayed faithful to the book too.

The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

I have heard enough about this movie to know that I will not be watching it.

There is something disturbing to me, that an actual human being came up with this way to torture other human beings. AND he actually made it into a movie and watched the actors go through with it and it didn't bother him a bit. There is just something wrong with that.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

I didn't really like this one. I'm not familiar with the old G.I. Joe toys and stories and stuff, but I just thought it was cheesy. The effects were really bad. It was just a bunch of violence and fighting sequences with no real story.

The Tooth Fairy

I did not like this movie. The Rock's acting incredibley failed in this one. I didn't laugh very much. Not all that interesting. Bland. The only thing I liked about it was the really tall guy with the big eyeballs. He was adorable!

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium

Visually stunning. Incredible acting. A touching and overwhelmingly sad story. Some parts were slow-paced. But other than that, I enjoyed it.

Hilarious! Fun! Entertaining! Great acting! This movie has it all. I was thoroughly impressed.

Kung Fu Panda

Very good. Great voice cast. Visually stunning. Funny dialogue. I adore this movie. Wonderful animated film.

A fun-filled adventure that's exciting and entertaining as well as funny. I really like this movie.

Tower of Terror

I haven't watched it in a while. But I remember it to be entertaining and pretty fun. I liked it pretty well. A good, chilling movie for younger viewers.

Charlie St. Cloud

It was a good effort.

I saw the previews and thought it looked really good and sad. So my friend and I rented it one time and settled down to watch it. I didn't cry at all, I was barely touched, and I got pretty severely bored. It was a bit strange also. Not a very good movie. But Zac Efron was as charming as always. But sadly, that wasn't enough to make this movie any good.

I Love You Beth Cooper

I laughed a few times. But other than that, this film came across as too desperate for laughs. The acting wasn't very good either, and the teen romance that was supposed to be there was seriously lacking. Not a very good movie.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Oh, it was interesting all right. I found this movie to be very odd, but I liked it. I thought the storyline was fun and creative. The acting was good also, especially from Heath Ledger. An overall decent film.

O Brother, Where Art Thou?

It doesn't matter if you like the music or not, this movie is amazing. When I heard what it was about and saw the cover, I thought it looked really stupid. But later, I decided to give it a try and I was NOT disappointed. Its funny, its exciting, its fun! A great movie!

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

Absolutely hilarious! I loved this movie. Family-fun greatness with a cute plot. Incredible animated movie that will please all ages.

The Skeleton Key

Hardly scary. But I give it a C+ just for the incredible twist at the end. I say its worth a watch just for the ending.

Sherlock Holmes

I thought this was a very good movie. Strong performances from the actors, a great plot, and plenty of intense mystery. Great movie. I really enjoyed watching it.

Field of Dreams

I really did not like this movie. It was so odd and I do not think it is a family movie as so many others say. I was bored too. Definitely not the best movie.

The Lovely Bones

I don't think this film was given enough credit. And I know several people are going to disagree with me, but excuse me for having an opinion. I found this movie to be incredibley bone-chilling and intense. I found it to be very sad also. I enjoyed Saoirse Ronan's performance. Not a bad movie.

I thought it was an entertaining, original story with some funny moments. I loved Hancock's witty, cocky dialogue. Good performances from the actors.

Romeo and Juliet

Very accurate with good acting. A nice film.

The Bounty Hunter

It isn't THAT bad! I have seen TOTALLY worse. I thought it was cute and the story was good and original, even though predictable. I love both Jennifer Anniston and Gerard Butler and I thought they did a good job with what they had. Not the best movie though.

Night at the Museum

I was very entertained. I love how they took history and made it fun! An adorable film with great actors. Good family movie.

Despicable Me

Adorable and funny. A great family movie with its sweet story. But don't watch it too many times. I made the mistake of watching it 5 times and I got really tired of it. Definitely wait a while in between watches.

Vantage Point

A very clever, well thought out movie that will keep you guessing until the end. The action and intensity gave me chillbumps. Great acting too. I give it an A-.

The Sixth Sense

An absolute bone-chilling thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through. Definitely one of the best twists I've ever seen. Brilliant. One of M. Night's bests.

The Devil Wears Prada

It was a pretty entertaining movie. I liked it pretty well. Not exactly hilarious, but the plot was good so it was okay. Sometimes things got a little slow. But that didn't happen often. I was entertained.

I think it is ONE of the best alien chillers I've seen. I am not big on alien movies, but this one I really liked. The actors were great, with great dialogue to back them up. An exciting movie that was entertaining and interesting.

Lady in the Water

Not one of M. Night Shyamalan's best. It was very confusing and hard to follow. But it was okay. To me, it wasn't that bad. I was interested and pretty entertained.

The Village
The Village(2004)

Not a horror movie, but there is definitely suspense and creepiness. I really liked it. The dialogue was well thought out and in-depth. The acting was really good. (I am a huge Sigourney Weaver fan.) The romance gave me goosebumps. Yes, some parts were slow. But it was fairly easy to get through those parts. I liked this movie alot.

Men in Black
Men in Black(1997)

Clever script with witty dialogue. The acting is great. A very fun and exciting film.

Visually incredible. The effects are great. The plot is fun and exciting with the action being engaging and intense. But, Megan Fox is a terrible actress. Sorry, boys. I know she's a pretty face. But she's a pretty face that can't act.

Overall, this was a very good film.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Way better than the first two. Still a disappointment compared to the books though. But, Kristen Stewart is still really terrible.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

I actually think the first one was worse. But it is still a terrible movie. Kristen Stewart is absolutely awful. The books are so much better. A huge disappointment.

The book was so much better. I like that they still had similarities between the film and the book. But the movie was so cheesy. I am a big Twilight fan, as far as the books go. But the movie was a huge diappointment. I am hoping the last one will be better.

Romeo + Juliet

Tacky and cheesy. I almost enjoyed it, because I was laughing so hard at how ridiculous it all was. This whole movie is an insult to Shakespeare, in my opinion. I DEFINITELY do not recommend.

Valentine's Day

I have mixed feelings about this film.

Things I liked:
Some of the romance- Sometimes, it was really sweet and meaningful.
The actors- Yeah, I liked all of the actors that they used.

Things I didn't:
Too many things going on at once- It was hard to keep up with and I often was confused. I liked the actors, but there were just too many of them. So many characters, it was hard to keep up with each person's story and who said what.
Romance was chiche- Most of the time it was so predictable.

It was an okay movie, but definitley not the best.

Bedtime Stories

A cute, funny movie full of fantasy and excitement for all ages. I liked it pretty well. Russel Brand and Adam Sandler were hilarious together.

I didn't think it was that bad. But there were parts of it that I didn't really like all that much.

Things I liked:
The suspense- No, it wasn't absolutely horrifying. But the suspense was fairly strong. I liked how there was a mystery, like you were trying to figure out who was going to die next and who wa killing everybody.
The story- It wasn't that weak of a story. I thought it was interesting and very original.
The actors- They were believable.

Things I didn't like:
No scares- I jumped maybe once. And that was it. I'm not sure if that's what they were aiming for or what, but this doesn't pass as a horror flick.
Parts were a little slow- Not very exciting and blood-pumping.

I enjoyed it. But I can see where others were disappointed.

The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D

Everything about this movie was terrible. From the actors, to the low budget, to the overall plot!

The actors- They were very cheesy. Yes, it is a children's movie, and I know kid's don't care how good the acting is. But this acting is just ridiculous. I do think though, that Taylor Lautner has improved.

The low budget- If you don't have a very big budget, why make a movie that takes so much money to look good?! The effects were absoltley awful! If they would have made a movie that was a little more practical, it probably would have been a whole lot better.

The plot- What the heck?! The weirdest, most out-there superheros (or whatever they were) that I have ever seen in my entire life! The same goes for the villains too! The dialogue was so bad, it wasn't even funny.

Terrible movie. DO NOT watch.

My One and Only

It wasn't great. But, it wasn't terrible.

Things I liked about it:
The actors- They were very believable and impressive.
The lesson- It shows how important it is for family to stick together. Although, it is NOT a family movie.

Things I didn't like:
The scattered and out-there plot- Some times the plot would move to places and I would say, "What? Where did that come from?" And I would get totally confused. And other times, the plot would move too slow and I would get bored.

But overall, it wasn't a terrible movie. But nothing that will live on forever.

A Walk to Remember

Being a girl, I thought this movie was super endearing. I really enjoyed watching it. And, I was very impressed with the actors. But if I looked the eyes of a guy, I can see how they can think this movie is terrble. Its more of a chick flick. So more girls will like it than guys.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

This one is a tough one to review.

To start off: THE BOOKS WERE SO MUCH BETTER. As far as taking an amazing book and making it even more magical by bringing it to the big screen, this movie fails...miserably. If you have read the book, don't waste your time watching this.

But, if you haven't read the books. I would say you might enjoy it pretty well.

Marley & Me
Marley & Me(2008)

Very well put together. Painfully sad and touching. I liked it and thought it was really cute. Well done to the actors too, especially from the dog. Haha!

Alice in Wonderland

Very good, and yet very odd. Not really for a younger generation, but that is okay. The actors were great, but Johnny Depp especially stuck out to me. An overall good movie.

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

Fun and entertaining. A wonderful family movie that is cute and exciting.

Pee-wee's Big Adventure

A very funny movie that is fun to watch and doesn't leave you disappointed.

Edward Scissorhands

A beautifully sad movie full of color and wonder. Heart-touching. I cry every time.

A great movie for both kids and adults. Bright! Fun! And a wonderful story to go along.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life

I didn't see the first one. But I really liked this movie. And I'm not just saying that because I think Angelina Jolie is hot. Of course though, because I am a girl. But I did say that because I think Gerard Butler is hot. No, only joking.

The action is fresh and exciting with an intense plot. Also, the good acting supported it, making it even better. A good movie.

Thirteen Ghosts (13 Ghosts)

I wouldn't exactly call it a horror movie. It is, however, a pretty good movie. Interesting, entertaining. I liked it pretty well.

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed

Like I said with the first one, it's a KID'S MOVIE. The children don't care whether the acting is good or whatever. It was cute, but definitley not the best kid's movie. I thought they could have done better though.

For a children's movie, it's not that bad. Kids aren't going to care whether the acting is good or whether the comedy is for adult's too.
Cute and entertaining.
Not terrible.

Absolutely crazy, funny Tim Burton!

Mr. Bean's Holiday

I cracked my ribs, I laughed so hard. And the side-splitting comedy is entirely family friendly! Which you don't get everyday.

The Passion of the Christ

Beautiful film. Absolutley overwhelming and powerful. The grusome details of Jesus's torture are hard to bear. But its something we need to see. A must-see.

The Haunted Mansion

Nothing scary, except maybe for the younger viewers. It amused me. Not terrible.

Shrek the Third

Should have stopped at the first two.

Shrek 2
Shrek 2(2004)

Not as good as the first one, but still funny and colorful. Great sequel.

A great family movie. Beautiful fantasy, energetic comedy. A fun-filled ride that leaves you entertained throughout.

Rat Race
Rat Race(2001)

I found this movie to be incredibly amusing and hilarious. A really good movie. I first saw this movie in a class at school and we couldn't finish it all in one period. The next day, I found myself counting down the minutes until that period where I would get to watch some more of this movie. I love the casting too.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

I was just about crying, I was laughing that hard. An absolutely brilliant movie in all ways. I highly recommend.

I found this movie incredibly hard to bear. It was boring and lacking in comedy. I personally do not recommend.

Very beautiful, visually. An entertaining, fun take on Russian history. A good movie.

Ghostbusters 2

Not as good as the first one. But still a good film. Funny, exciting, fun. I liked it pretty well.

Ghostbusters (1984 Original)

Absolutely amazing film. One of the greatest. Incredibly hilariou with an fun plot. Amazing cast. Amazing everything! A must-see.

I Am Legend
I Am Legend(2007)

A thrilling, skin crawling film full of realistic sequences of horror and action. Incredible actors. Incredible effects. Incredible movie.

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride

Pure genius. One of my Burton favorites. Catchy music, visually stunning. A very memorable and whimsical film.

Beauty and the Beast

One of my favorite princess movies. But it's not just for girls. It appeals to both genders and all ages with its brightly colored adventures and cheerful songs. Great family movie night choice.

One of my favorite girl-power Disney movies. This movie about duty and family honor didn't disappoint me in the least. The humor was fresh and cute, and the action was fun and adventurous. A great family movie.

The action is slick and intense. Liam Neeson's acting skills are incredible. A well-crafted, blood-pumping film. Absolutely great.

Super Size Me

I think everyone needs to watch this and be aware of what fast food really does to you. Yes, some of the parts are disgusting and hard to bear. But it needs to show you the harsh reality of it all. I highly recommend it.

Groundhog Day

A fresh and funny film. I absolutely love Bill Murray and this is one of his bests! A highly enjoyable movie.

My favorite Christmas movie of all time! I watch it every year as a tradition. It makes me laugh until my sides hurt, and it fills me with the bright holiday cheer that's just right for that special time of the year! A wonderful, fun-filled must-see family movie!

The Goonies
The Goonies(1985)

Adventurous, fun. The comedy will have you busting your sides laughing. The original story will keep you amused and interested until the very end. A must-see!

I don't really like it when movies are all about football and don't really have a back-story or plot. But this movie is not one of those. This is my favorite football movie with The Blind Side coming in second. It's inspiring and moving. A truely heart warming story that might just leave you in tears.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

I like how it's different from other movies, but I couldn't help but be bored throughout the entire thing. I loved all of the voice actors, but I just didn't find anything funny in this movie. And parents: Don't let the stop-motion fool you into thinking it's a children's movie, because it is definitley not.

The Road to El Dorado

Loveable characters in an organized, fun plot. There is plenty to love in this adventurous, daring movie! I adored it as a kid, and I still do to this day!

When in Rome
When in Rome(2010)

Good performances from the actors. The comedy was nothing to bust your sides laughing at, but this movie gave me a few smiles. Nothing too memorable, but it wasn't terrible.

This new take on a fairytale coming to the world of reality is both charming and fun. An absolutley wonderful film full of fantasy and romance while appealing to audiences of all ranges of age and gender. A highly recommended family film.

Spider-Man 3
Spider-Man 3(2007)

I am going to have to disagree with several others and say that I really like this movie. It is my favorite of the three. The villians were absolutely brilliant. I loved their stories and how you could see where they were coming from with their pain. Others say there was too much going on at once, but I was able to keep up through the whole thing.

Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 2(2004)

This is my least favorite of the three. Still not a bad movie, though. The romance and action scenes were very nice and well-crafted. It was okay, but I was a tiny bit disappointed.

I didn't realize how much I loved Spiderman until after I watched this movie. I was instantly hooked from the beginning, and I was entertained until the very end.

Some parts were sort of strange, but I thought it was a pretty good movie. There was some nice, refreshing romance. Not the worst movie, but not the best.

The storyline is very good. But some parts were slow and hard to get through. But the violence was creative and vivid. The overall movie was okay, but the sequence of events were lacking in places.

Interesting. Very curious. It wasn't completely straightforward. Things were a little scattered, and yet I found myself caught up in the romance. I actually liked it. I mean it was okay. Nothing too amazing though.

Surf's Up
Surf's Up(2007)

Penguins, surfing, amazing voice cast: Awww yeah! Better than Happy Feet, and I'll take that anyday.

Happy Feet
Happy Feet(2006)

This is honestly the worst animated movie I have ever seen in my life. And I am a HUGE fan of animated movies. The beginning was cute. I liked it. But if you want to entertain children, don't go into the whole saving the penguins issue. Maybe a good idea for some sort of documentary, but NOT for a kid's movie.

Clash of the Titans

If you put the first one out of thought, this is a decent movie. The action and graphics are good. It kept me entertained. Not completely awful.

Napoleon Dynamite

This is a great comedy. It gets better everytime I watch it. Watch this if you need a laugh, I guaruntee one.

The Benchwarmers

Hilarious movie with a nice anti-bullying message behind it. If your having a bad day and in need for a laugh, watch this movie. I laugh everytime.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

I thought it was actually pretty good. It was alot shorter and more exciting than the others. To me, it seemed alot more organized. Instead of just washing up on a certain dangerous island by chance, they actually came across perils that had to do with what they were searching for. But, I didn't like Penelope Cruz.

The Outsiders

I thought I loved the story when I read the book. But when I saw the movie, I fell in love with it. And talk about an amazing cast! Brilliant movie, I highly recommend.

You Again
You Again(2010)

A charming film with cute, girl-power humor. All the characters are likable. Betty White is adorable as always. It was entertaining and fun. Ladies, this is a nice movie to watch with your daughter or one of your best girl friends.

The Haunting of Molly Hartley

This movie just made me mad. I hated pretty much everything about it. The only thing that scared me or disturbed me in the slightest was the pathetic ending and well...the overall plot!

A Prairie Home Companion

Since I am not a fan of this music style, I did not like this movie one bit. I thought the plot moved nowhere and was terribly slow.

How to Train Your Dragon

It's exciting. It's fun. It's hysterical. It's touching. I had the urge to cry like 4 times! The casting was amazing too. Craig Ferguson was hysterical. Gerard Butler really brought Stoick the Vast to life. Jay Baruchel was great also. Best animated movie I have ever seen.

The funniest animated movie I have ever seen, hands down.

The Other Guys

One of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Will Ferrel1 and Mark Wahlberg make a great pair. The comedy is great, but some of the action is pretty slow. But other than that stupendous movie.

Dinner for Schmucks

Hysterical. I loved this movie. I thought it was funny, even though the plot was a little scattered. I thought it was very entertaining and interesting. Some of the more touching scenes were nice too.

The Dark Knight

Very good. Fast paced, which I liked. But once you watch it about twice, it starts to get kind of old. But other than that, Heath Ledger makes all of the other jokers look like sissies. He was absolutely brilliant.

Touching and heart-felt. But not as interesting as some of pixar's other movies. But still very nice.

The scariest movie I've ever seen. This didn't dissapoint me one bit. The acting was good and believable. I will still have nightmares from this in a year or two. The ending was the best part though. What a twist...

What About Bob?

I laughed until I cried. Bill Murray is hysterical. A comic genuis. One of my favorite characters he plays. I loved this movie. It is hysterical.

I adored it. It was cute and fun. An amazing movie for families. It was charming and touching at the same time. Some of the lyrics of the songs were weak though. But other than that a lovley movie.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1

I didn't like the fade in fade out kind of stuff. But the novels got darker as the story progress and I think the movies expressed thatt well. This isn't my favorite of the Harry Potter movies. But it got me excited for the next one.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

This is my favorite of the 3. Fantasy at its best. Crazy good.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Even better than the first one. Epic characters, epic setting, and an epic plot. Timeless, beautiful but in a dark way.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

Absolutely beautiful. A little slow, but that is to get the story moving along. Stunning, breath-taking. The acting was wonderful. The over-all visual effect was stunning. A must-see.

The Princess Bride

Clever and fun. This is a must-see. This movie will never die, I guaruntee it. Charming and romantic. Not to mention the humor. Two thumbs up!

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

I hated this movie. Halfway through it, I used the excuse that I was thirsty just to get out of the theater. A huge disappointment. Too over-top-dramatic at some points. Very cheesy. Very boring.

Nothing like it. There is literally NO PART that you can miss in this movie. If you did miss any parts, you would be totally lost. Engaging, a fun and wonderous movie.

Not only were the graphics great, the plot was great. I thought it was breath-takingly beautiful. It is one of those movies where you wish it all existed. I never get tired of it. Visually stunning. A must-see movie.

The Phantom of the Opera

I am going to have to disagree with all of the critic's reviews. Isn't it kind of funny when most normal everyday people like movies that critics don't? I think Gerard Butler isn't given enough credit either. They always compare him to the phantoms from the older versions. But for me, he IS the Phantom of the Opera. He causes me such emotional pain when I see him in this role. He doesn't just try to sing the songs and sound beautiful, he puts emotions into it. He sounds like the unstable and hurting man that the Phantom is supposed to be. But at the same time, he is suave and smooth in a rough, irresistible sort of way. I thought he was absolutely brilliant. The music is as well. I absolutely love this movie. I watch it all the time.
