Koi... Mil Gaya was one of the first Bollywood movies I ever saw and the story is beautiful. Hrithik Roshan proved that he can ACTUALLY act in a role with depth that wasn't ENTIRELY based on his chiseled good looks and superb dance skills. Preity Zinta and Rekha both played beautifully besides him!
Black is a truly exceptional film, starting from the music of Michelle's Theme, it tugs at your heart strings and makes you feel alive. Rani Mukerji may have overacted a tiny bit but she pulled it off very well. Black showcased her ability to play a role that wasn't sweet or beautiful or a perfectionist, but a character with immense vulnerability. Amitabh Bachchan never disappoints. This is a story that can inspire everybody and an ending that will break your heart.
Devdas was the first ever Bollywood movie I ever saw and holds a particular fondness in my heart, especially the marvelous "Dola Re Dola". The film is perhaps one of the greatest foreign films of all time is the epitome of spectacular. I have never seen a film more vibrant and filled with grandeur like Devdas. SRK, Aishwarya and Madhuri give their best performances!
WOW is the only word I can say and I haven't even finished the film yet! Ayushmann is National Film Award worthy with this spellbinding performance and Tabu is fantastic as always! Andhadhun is NOT your typical Bollywood film, with only 1-2 musical segments adding to the overall ambiance. I'd say it's more of an example of parallel cinema and is very Hitchcock-esque!
