Movie Ratings and Reviews

One of the best series in recent television. It gets everything right.

Big Fish
Big Fish(2003)

The small flaws are washed away by the sheer imagination and charm of this film.

Inception's idea is original and well executed, but the film itself isn't truly extraordinary. One of the saving grace of inception is that it's thought provoking and smartly written, the dazzling effects don't hurt either.

The Social Network

The layers of the film are a feat of there own! The Social Network isn't just a telling of how Mark Zuckerberg became the youngest billionaire; it's a story of love, betrayal, and the desire of belonging.

Eisenberg's acting is especially top notch. You could not find a more fitting actor to play Zuckerberg.

One of the best movies of 2010, Highly recommend.

Disaster Movie

This whole movie can be summed up as a very bad and long Mad-Tv sketch.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

A bland, uncoordinated sequel. Melodramatic for the sake of melodrama. Any non-twihard should skip this.

This is, however, a decently atmospheric movie to watch with a girl.

8 Mile
8 Mile(2002)

Although dramatic and engaging, 8 mile doesn't go beyond its formulaic plot.

I Am Sam
I Am Sam(2001)

One of the most under rated movies of the past decade. The acting, let alone the chemistry of Dakota fanning and Sean Penn are enough to carry the movie on there own.

Capitalism: A Love Story

Insightful, if not subjective, Capitalism: A love story offers an unflinching eye on the idyllic perfect world of capitalism.

The Lovely Bones

The overtone of the film's sappy sentiment feels almost preachy. The film starts with momentum, but loses it mid-way.

The premise of Catfish is promising, almost too promising. Staged or not, Catfish is intriguing, and insightful.

Hot Fuzz
Hot Fuzz(2007)

Hot Fuzz has what most over-the-top comedy movies don't, a decent plot. A great story, mixed with some intelligent humor and intense action sequences, makes the movie an unforgettable experience.

District 9
District 9(2009)

District 9 takes a universal idea and makes it its own. The hardships of the aliens fittingly reflects the hardships and discrimination of past generations. Thought provoking and unique, District 9 is a must see film.
