Is it cheesy? Yes it is. The film is absolutely fun as well. Service guarantees citizenship!
I think this movie had a great idea behind it but in its execution only was so-so. Everything from setting to plot to characters felt alright for me but nothing really grabbed me. The manticore was probably the best part and even she wasn't exactly comedy genius either. Oh well, I'm sure kids will really like it what really matters.
Filled with amusingly bad fake blood and death scenes and a flat main character who I felt nothing for. Hard to really get excited over her vengeance honestly but it passed the time. Decent for what it is I suppose.
I am just sorry that I never saw this as a kid, probably would have liked this even more with the nostalgia.
The plot and characters were incredibly stupid, a shallow film that brings no intrigue whatsoever. Has some cringe though.
If you want to get the tears flowing it is certainly a a must see, usually with films like this I find it done so hamfistedly that I can't get into it but this one does it so well. Don't let the provocative title fool you, this film is a keeper and its an emotional watch. Gives the laughs and tears so what more could be asked for?
Doesn't really distinguish itself from other movie of its type, one among many. Ben Affleck does a good job with the bland material though, keeps a mediocre film to be a decent watch.
I don't think this "comedy" knows what humor actually is. Every single joke fell flat for me except for a few in the beginning which got an embarrassed chuckle before the safe dull content just had my eyes glazing over. The plot itself was generic and stolen from better films. Lovebirds has nothing unless you enjoy watching a boring couple have boring squabbles throughout.
Jackie Chan does his usual fun fights and stunts, its too bad the movie itself is even more silly than Shanghai Noon was.
Once you get past the absurd premise I think its a decent action flick, Vin Diesel kicking butt was entertaining and film was well shot overall.
Well its better than Mission to Mars anyway. More dull perhaps but less stupid.
Liked this more when I was younger, now it is a passable film, Owen Wilson isn't too irritating and Jackie Chan is fun as always. Humor and story only so-so.
Boring. Cheesy. Special effects that do not hold up 20 yrs later and a laughable discovery at the end of the film.
Forgot about this dumb thing
