I guess I am in the minority. I do not understand why Parasite is being heralded as a perfect film. Cinematography and Art Direction are exquisite. But a movie with universally unlikeable characters, with noone to root for - characters who make clever decisions when it conveniences the story, but the same characters make stupid decisions for the same reasons. One could say, that's life, but I didn't buy it. It ventures into Tarantino territory, but his characters are so well defined that you're ready for the bloodbath whether the heroes live or die. I just could not invest in these characters and their demise. This movie is beautiful to look at but BLEAK and long. A big NO for me.
Loved it. Short, sweet and informative. Touching story about the relationship between bears and humans and conservation. Having been to Chengdu recently made it even more special. Definitely put Chengdu on the bucket list!
Rami Malek is amazing. The casting is spot on. Is it a genius script? No. It was never meant to be. It's a biopic that succeeds 100% in its goal to tell a story about the great Freddie Mercury. We get to live in Freddie's world and mind for a few hours and that is just wonderful !
Deeply real and human, with flaws, which makes it even more human. Historical in its depiction of an era. You are fully immersed in the trenches of their lives. Authentic performances. Well worth seeing.
