Great and silly fun with a few creepy moments and a lot of exciting ones.
Excellent horror film with strong themes of folklore and racial tension.
Excellent fun, briskly paced, well acted, and narratively satisfying in spite of a formulaic plot and some jokes that miss the mark.
Tonally unbalanced, but totally committed to its own lunacy. The world of Repo is one of gore, grit, glam, and gusto. Performances are intentionally campy across the board attached to a story that wholly original in both concept and execution and bolstered strongly by an excellent third act. Anchored by energetic music and a distinct look made all the more impressive by its meager budget, Repo is one part Rocky Horror Picture, one part Bladerunner, and all parts infectious insanity.
A strange and smart little chiller with a startlingly excellent performance from Angela Bettis. Initially off putting with its quirkiness, the film slowly turns into a character study that is equal parts depraved and terribly sad.
