Yes, the show strayed from the original text and diminished what made it a jaw-dropping spectacle. However, 13 Reasons Why does find its footing in adding a new character, and by ensuring the cohesiveness of its incredible cast. The acting alone makes it worth following.
Great first season! The acting and the beautiful cinematography are highlights from the first season of Narcos. I look forward to seeing how the show progresses into future seasons. The direction and writing could use a little improvement, but overall, a compelling series to watch.
In the sensational denouement to an excellent show, Jane The Virgin wraps a bow around a nearly perfect series. You will miss the characters, performances, and quirkiness. Telenovela humor is the perfect ambiance for the farcical lives of Jane, Alba, Rogelio, Xiomara, Rafael, Petra, Michael and Mateo.
Campy 80s horror films like Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Poltergeist, and Friday The 13th are expertly incorporated into American Horror Story: 1984 where character development, and a great story take the forefront. Excellent!
Incorporating elements of previous seasons, American Horror Story: Apocalypse shuts down any and all of the previous seasons with the end of the world. Then, rising from the ashes, a horror unlike no other emerges. Well done.
I am the wrong person to review this season, as I am terrified of clowns. I could not make it all the way through.
In a unique twist that delves farther out of American Horror Story's comfort zone, the Roanoke saga favors documentary film style rather than the usual camera angles, opening the series up to a more closed in viewpoint from audiences. It works, but often times loses itself in its own garish horror.
In Lady GaGa's debut on the television screen, American Horror Story: Hotel revitalizes the series with a diverse new spin of 'The Shining' in a way. Well acted, well written, and well directed.
American Horror Story: Freakshow has its moments of sheer terror, but the series falters as a whole with an uneven storyline. It is saved with the ensemble of actors and actresses, the cinematography, and the writing of diverse, effective characters.
In a convoluted take on voodoo and witchcraft, American Horror Story: Coven delves deep into the inner workings of horror with a powerful, creepy storyline that deserves all of the praise from critics everywhere.
American Horror Story: Asylum is one of the best pieces of television to hit the airwaves this millennia. Magnificent.
WOW! I would never have thought in a million years that The Haunting Of Hill House would have sucked me in the way it did. From the child actors to the eerie camera angles, this season had it all! The storyline sucks you into its world where at times you'll have to walk away. Sheer terror works, and this show proved it! Spectacular!
