Woulda been solidly better than the original if they tightened up the film a bit. Amazing visuals, not as forced-ominous as the original, but definitely gets woolly by the end.
51 yeas old and I just saw this for the first time. I will say it's ridiculously heavy on the noirish woo-woo, and like the Matrix, kinda becomes a bit of a self-parody after a while.
Still, good film, great visuals, drab storyline, technology makes no sense in it but that comes with the genre.
Adjust expectations accordingly and it's pretty wild. Plus, Patrick Fischler.
The highest of high concept movies. A lot to love, a lot to roll your eyes at. Too much of the feels for my taste but you can never say this movie lacks ambition!
