The first half felt slow, but it stayed interesting as it becomes clearer that the story isn't going to be that easy to figure out. Then once things begin to escalate, some elements come into focus while others still remain unresolved until the last scenes.
The resolution to the central question of what exactly is going on felt both appropriate yet still weird, which is a compliment. The final scene was also a smart move, providing a late note of redemption, while also setting up other possibilities for later.
WTF happened between Casino Royale and this?!?!
Story was incomprehensible, dialog was dull and the editing!! Was there a shot longer than 5 seconds in the whole film? Headache inducing and very distracting.
Watched this back-to-back with CR - seeing each for the first time - and the contrast in quality between them was shocking.
Lotta legit criticisms, but the thing still ended up a fun roller coaster ride. To be fair, this series should've stopped long ago [like after the original], so I can't get too worked up about the hinky bits in RoS. The humor was better than I thought, the story was almost laughably the same as at least three previous episodes but the spectacle of it was effective, the action was nonstop and the ending was kinda nice. Big laugh out of C3PO re-introducing himself after amnesia to Babu ["my oldest friend"].
