Well this is one of those rare times where my rating matches up closely with the ratings that of the critics. I thought the movie was enjoyable and fun to watch. Nothing outstanding or laugh out loud, but a fun story and plot. Acting was good and the cast did pretty good together. I had low expectations for this film so I was glad to see it turn out better than I thought. I probably enjoyed Matthew Broderick the most out of the film, but the rest of the cast were solid as well. Overall a fun movie to watch, nothing that's going to win any awards, but I would say it's a fun one to sit through.

WOW, what a great concept and idea. I really enjoyed the futuristic setting. I loved the little things that they out in, such as the dialogue or the sound that the car doors made. As for the acting, it was a real let down. Going into it I knew I already did not like the main actors (Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried), but I was hoping I would like the other characters. Unfortunately, none of the actors were able to justify the film. It seemed to be poorly written and the characters went through minimal growth. What I liked was the way it was put together but the lack of detail and poor execution was what brought the film down for me. Maybe a different cast and different producers could have saved it. Quite boring and not impressive, it's a shame such an idea was wasted on this film.

Captain America: The First Avenger

WOW, the only problem I had with this movie was the death scene of Barnes. Thought it was too quick and certainly not dramatic enough. Didn't really phase me or seem to have an impact. Besides that, I thought the film was brilliantly done. I loved the cheesy acting and the cheesy lines that Evans delivered. I never read the comics, so I don't know how true they stayed to the original hero. But coming at it fresh, I loved it. Certainly contests with Iron Man at this point for being my favorite avenger. I guess we will have to wait and see how Renners and Ruffalo do before I can make that decision. But this Avengers movie is shaping up to have an excellent cast. All in all, Captain America: The First Avenger was a great movie and a lot of fun to watch, I would highly recommend it to any fans of the marvel franchise.
