Another fantastic addition to the Harry Potter series as this movie is vital to the overall adventure. The whole concept of other schools coming to Hogwarts to compete adds a whole new dimension. The connection between Harry and Voldemort gets even stronger and it get me excited to see what follows. The series continues to heat up as the movies go on.
It was a decent drama, I'll give it that, however that couldn't save it from being a very boring, generic movie. The idea was interesting, the movie itself wasn't horrible, it just wasn't anything that I'll remember a week from now. Don't expect much from this, because you won't get much out of it.
I thought this would be one of those dumb, raunchy comedies, and I was right. Pretty much this movie was a parody of a bunch of old slasher films, and might I add, it was actually quite funny. I am a big fan of crude humor and this has plenty of it. Of course this movie isn't meant for everybody, but if you love crude humor and dumb jokes, this movie is right up your alley.
A brilliant addition to the series that reveals a lot more behind this fantastic story. The series just gets better and better and watching these actors develop is a treat. The story line deepens as this series takes a turn in direction. All the new characters add depth and keep everything fresh and original. Best of the first three movies in my opinion and I only see things looking up from here. A definite re-watch for any Potter fan and an absolute must see in general.
Jim Carrey's breakout role will have you laughing at times and shaking your head at others. His craziness throughout the entire movie shows why he is one of a kind, and although it's funny, it gets annoying real fast. I thought this was a clever movie, but it certainly wasn't my favorite of his. A lot of people have recommended this movie saying it was one of the funniest they've seen, but I just didn't see why. An amusing comedy at best.
