The end of an era. It was messy, hilarious, at times, a bit on the nose sometimes but overall a great send off for our beloved MCU core characters.
Brilliant movie. There isn't much to say really except if you haven't gotten around to seeing this gem you should make it your next viewing. Heartfelt story from start to finish. Very much feels as though it was robbed of an Oscar but that isn't a surprise either.
The last time I felt such optimism and admiration for animation and storytelling that you can never quite predict is when I watched Boy & the World (another brilliant movie).. Psiconautas/Birdboy was a lot darker than one would think given the animation and character designs. Tragic, breathtaking, haunting and delightful somehow all rolled into a pretty cover. One of the year's bests in terms of animation but you have to watch it willing to accept that a lot of things will be unusual. Highly recommended.
Brilliant from start to finish and easily one of my favorite movies of the year. Denis continues to be one of the best working directors out there and if you haven't seen some of his other work I very highly recommend them. I didn't know what to expect when going into this and the result was an alien movie the likes of which we have never seen before. Great and unique approach to a genre that has more entries than we would all like to admit.
