The movies staggers back and forth between stilted dialog, questionable acting and a desire to punch someone in the face when they use a punk as a protagonist to really start the movie. You knwo it is bad. Ethan Hawke barely gets an acting credit surrounded by flat quirky stereotypes, except the dog.
They should have made a movie about the dog.
