It's more like a parody of a QT movie. QT's worst film. Still pretty good compared to other films these days.
One of the greatest Fantasy movies ever made.
One of the best comedy special ever made. It's the bomb.
Someone is still making great movie. Thank you!
Way better than a lot of kids movies I've seen! Gorgeous graphics and camera work. Nice landscapes. Vibrant colors. Costume were awesome. Some changes from the book but all the reason to read the book as well!
One of the best uses of 3D-animation ever. A fun adventure with moral.
One of the best opening sequences ever, unfortunately the quality and tone was unable to sustain itself.
One of the most talented casts to ever perform this production that I have seen. The costumes and choreography were amazing. The integration of musicians into the performing ensemble was very cool.
Negatives include prompted audience reactions that felt forced and unnatural. The stage set looks like Rent and Stomp had an ugly baby.
ehh.... The cast seemed half asleep during filming.
interesting premise, but poor film-making makes this film nearly unwatchable.
While the voices aren't as strong as the original stage cast, this is the definitive film version. Great ensemble strength, avant-guard 60/70's style film-making.
While not living up to it's literary counterpart, this film is much better than people like to give it credit for. Again, it's biggest flaw is not living up to the standards set by the book and being released at a time where the film industry was over-saturated with the movies based on the works of Micheal Crichton. That and having to stand in the shadow of James Cameron's The Abyss.
Few movies can change your life, this is one of them. The only thing this film suffers from is having a budget that is too low for the story it is trying to tell. A perfect example of using scifi as a vehicle for political dissidence.
