The Day After Tomorrow
5 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

Hello, I am back again with a new film review for you. This time I saw "the day after tomorrow", but you already know that don't you?

Ok, this time I'll start by saying that this was a great movie. I have seen it before and I will see it again, and I recommend you to do so too. It seemed so realistic (believe it or not), not all of it of course, but, you know, some parts of it at least. So, that's of course a plus.

The effects were, seeing how old it is, pretty good. The shooting of the movie itself was good as well. I said that I found parts of it kind of realistic, well, I have to say other parts were so unrealistic it shook me. Luckily there weren't that many parts of those.

The story is amazing though, and I will not give away anything from the film, but it was pretty damn good. The mixture of different elements is a keypart in the making of a good film. Keyparts like action, comedy, romance, etc. This along with the "moods" like happiness, sadness, surprised, joyful etc, set's the bar. In this movie the bar of quality and amazing awesomeness were pretty high up in the sky. With all the emotions in this movie it turned out better than I thought it would (before I watched it the first time). This time I actually shed a tear or two towards the end of the movie. That does not happen often. Never happened once before I turned 20, weird.

The acting was not the best I've seen, at least from Mr. Quaid's (guy who played Jack) side. Jake Gyldenhaal on the other hand along with many of the other actors did a good job.

I'll wrap it up for you now. This movie is on my list of recommendations. It was a great movie, not perfect, but generally very good. I am not sure whether to give it 7 or 8 stars, but after 5 minutes of consideration I now landed on 8.

So, that's it. Rating: 8/10 stars.

Good night, bon soir, Buenos noches, guten nacht and god natt to my fellow Norwegian country men and woman, boys and girls.

The Fast and the Furious
5 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

I just saw it for the thousand time, and it's still as good as the first time I saw it. Rob Cohen is a pure genius, he truly is. These movies are magnificently awesome and I'm going to tell you why. No Spoiler alerts I promise.
Let's start with the basics. The script and plot is close to perfection. Everything from Action, comedic feuds, deceit, romance and amazing surprises. It has a little of everything and a lot of the rest.
The characters' difference is brilliant. The background of them is hidden beneath the surface of someone completely different. They're just amazingly entertaining. They're personalities is even better. I can't say anything else because I'm out of words; speechless.
The action scenes are incredible for a movie like this. I won't say to much about them though, but if you haven't seen it yet, do so. The first scene when you see how good Brian drives is good and when you see the spark he has, and how his driving improves throughout the movie; nice, very nice.
The turning point is pretty good too, but you'll have to find it yourself because I am not going to spoil your movie-experience. The twists in the movie are good, and there is more than one as well. Everyone has secrets, and the secrets are what make this movie just as good as it is. Without the secrets the movie wouldn't be worth watching.
Ok, let's talk about the acting. First, Mark Vincent (or as you may know; Vin Diesel), I'm a big fan for a reason. There's never anything to say on his acting, so I won't even get into how amazingly amazing he is. So, the rest of them, I am a little iffy on their names so I am just going to call them by their character names. Brian, or the guy who played his role in the movie did a great job and so did Mia and Vince. There wasn't any bad acting in the movie, only good acting and some awesome acting.
The mix of secrecy, trust and romance is pretty damn good. I'm running out of adjectives. So I'll just try and wrap this up and give you my concluding opinion and rating of this movie.
This movie is definitely worth watching. I really and truly recommend you to watch this movie and its following movies. They are worth watching, ask anyone who've seen them they'll tell you the same. Personally I think it's great and awesome and so does my pal here who watched it with me an hour or so ago. For my rating, based on everything I wrote and didn't write, I give it 10 out of 10 stars. Why? I couldn't find anything negative about it and since I still enjoy watching after all these times I've already seen it it's probably worthy of a perfect 10.

Movie: Fast and the Furious

Rating: 10/10

Thanks for reading my review.

XXX (2002)

The star duo from the movie "The Fast & the furious" does it again! Rob Cohen and Vin Diesel have now (in 2002) created this movie: XxX.

The director genius Rob Cohen is legendary, or should be. This, right here, is, after my opinion, his masterpiece. Doesn't that say anything? Well, maybe you'll change your mind after this. He is the director of such brilliant films like:

The fast and the furious
The mummy 3: Tomb of the dragon emperor
The skulls
XxX 2: state of the union
And the upcoming XxX 3: the return of Xander Cage
And as if that wasn't enough there are plenty more films he has both produced, directed, acted in, written and created soundtracks for.

Plus, he has also directed some episodes of Miami Vice.

So, yeah, that says something, actually, that says more than something.

Vin Diesel, the toughest and most bad-ass actor of all time, is now starring in this movie. What? You haven't heard of Vin Diesel? Well, here is a few of the movies he has starred in:
The Pacifier
Gone in 60 seconds
Multiple of the "fast and the furious"-movies
XxX (obviously)
Pitch Black
The chronicles of Riddick (which I have heard they're making a sequel to)
Babylon A.D.
A man apart (which I have posted a review on, both here and on www.Thepiratebay.com )
Saving Private Ryan

"I have seen that movie! That was one hell of a movie!" yeah, I thought you would say that.

This movie like any other movie starring Vin Diesel is packed to the rim with action (except from The Pacifier which is just hilarious, but still also that one has action in it). If I say awesome stunts, action and take-outs of legendary perfection would that be enough to convince you to see it, if not, here are some more:

furious driving, the world's most dangerous car (probably), snowboarding an avalanche you intentionally started, awesome bond-like equipment and a scarfaced agent played by none other than Samuel Leroy Jackson.

How about now? Are you drooling over the movie yet? Well, let me help you along.

My opinion doesn't matter to anyone, now does it? But you are going to get it anyway. This movie had (basically) everything you could possibly want in a movie like this. It had comedy, action, ugly ass Mexicans with machetes, ugly ass executive agents, more action, stunts that will blow your mindhole, snowmobiles, motorcycles, cars filled with guns, rocket launchers and flamethrowers, snowboards, skating with a serving dish, plus even more action.

The story was incredibly awesome! With music and action, lighting and effects that would sweep you off of your feet. It also has love bundled in it. How it is possible to make a movie this perfect, I do not know! But they pulled it off and I am glad they did, as are many other people out there I imagine.

To answer your question: yes, I did use the internet on this one, but only to google some of the awesome creations of Mr. Rob Cohen. No, I did not google Mark Vincent (Vin Diesel) at all. I simply admire him and am a huge fan of his, and that is why I know so much about him.

I obviously have to give this movie a perfect ten, right? Well, if you thought so, you are............correct.

10/10 stars "XxX" will get from yours truly.

Peace out!

Mercury Rising

Mercury Rising

"Mercury Rising" is a movie based on a outstandingly good book "Simple Simon". Though I can't remember the name of the author, I can tell you this, promise you this; I will remember this movie. That actually says a lot, seeing my memory, both long and short term, are worse than the ones of a goldfish.
The acting was nothing less than spectacular. Bruce Willis did, as always, a good job playing FBI-agent Art, while the kid who played Simon did a job so amazingly brilliant it cannot be described. The acting from this little kid was on such a high level that I almost started to wonder if he actually were autistic and didn't just play a role. One word: Amazing!

I liked the music very much. It changed well in sync with the mood of the characters, the happenings around them and what actions they would make. So, I would say that the music gives the final score a boost in the right direction.
The movie, meaning the content of the movie was good. There wasn't much direct action in it, but it didn't need much action to be as awesome as it is. There were on the other hand both loads of drama and indirect action. There was also a bit of mystery stuffed into the movie, mystery around the characters and their next actions.

The entire story of Art is *blank*. I don't know what to fill in the blank spot with. It's so psychologically deep and so emotionally filled with sadness. You add the sub-stories, the ones of Leo and Dean, Tommy and last, but certainly not least, Simon, you get a story so filled with so much of everything it's impossible to describe.

So, as you can imagine my overall opinion about this movie is pretty positive. I think I'll just end it here leaving my star-rating while recommending you to watch this movie. it will bring a tear to your eye if you watch it, and it will bring a tear to mine if you don't.

Star Rating: 8/10

Thanks for reading my review. I hope it was helpful to you. Feel free to rate, comment and give me feedback and your opinion on both the movie and my review of it.

The One

Good story with many good scenes. No bad scenes. Good fighting scenes, nice choice of location to shoot the movie. Good music, rad music! Nice placing of turningpoint and generally a good movie.

My favorite thing about the movie was that the music was good, and it fit in perfectly! 10/10 on the music, definitely, without a doubt in my mind.

The acting was genius by both Li and Gugino, Lindo and Statham. Brilliant acting! Yes, the acting was great from all parts. You have got feelings involved. And the emotions are the foundation of the movie. Anger, hatred, love, happiness, etc, etc.

This movie along with the «X-files» series are the greatest works of Mr. James Wong if I may say so. This is a real action-movie! There is action around every corner. The entire movie is filled with thrilling action. Fancy weapons, travel between parallell universes, an ex-cop serial killer and a present cop with some awesome fighting moves. It really reeks of a great Sci-fi, action thriller.

To sum it up, this was a good, if not great movie, but since they made parts of it unrealistic, I'll have to give it 6/10 stars. Nothing more, nothing less.
