What was supposed to be clever about this supposedly original horror comedy is the very reason it's so unbearably dumb. The Dead Don't Die is a complete failure no matter which angle you choose to view it from and a disappointment for wasting the talent of a great cast of A-listers on mindless, unfunny gags. It's honestly one of the worst movies I ever had the misfortune to see and I don't care how good the zombie makeup was, it's not worth the torture of having to sit through this boring disappointment.
Although not without faults and historical inaccuracies, Elizabeth is a brilliant period drama owing to the unequal talent of Cate Blanchett. Her performance is captivating and the cinematography, costumes and set design are stunning. It's no wonder the film was a hit at the Oscars.
A boring, plodding, uninteresting drama lacking momentum and thrill in every possible way. Mary Queen of Scots wastes the talents of Ronan and Robbie on a lifeless film.
Asides from some pacing issues, Outlaw King is arguably the best Netflix Original yet. The scale of the film is massive with a big number of sets, costumes, extras and impressive battle scenes and the quality of the cinematography and acting is like that of a big Hollywood production. With all that to offer, it's baffling the movie wasn't a huge success.
It's been a while since a film impacted me in such a way that I'm sure will be with me for a some time but how can I not be when Life Itself is a brilliant story about life and love. It's not only a well-written and well-acted drama, it also has a few lessons to teach viewers. It's emotional, lighthearted, and funny and that amazing opening with Samuel L. Jackson cracked me up. I'm glad I gave this movie a shot because it was a simply beautiful experience.
