The least comic book accurate film, ever!

Spider-Man: Homecoming
2 months ago via Rotten Tomatoes

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is disappointing, to say the least...

It misses the mark in terms of casting, story, action and acting.

The alteration of significant characters' traits combined with an uncomfortable pacing and a slew of 'just okay' performances make it confusing for non-fans and just straight-up aggravating for long-time devotees, i.e., avid comic book readers.

So much of it does not mesh... It significantly strays from the original source materials. So much so in fact, that it's in dire need of greater exposition for sub-plots relating to seperate Marvel properties (both film and TV), as well as much-needed character introductions for the litany of villains that are paraded across the screen.

That being said, it's not a horrible film, just certainly not amazing, spectacular or sensational.

You can tell that it's a forced bi-product of Sony & Disney trying to convey what they think modern teenagers will enjoy, and in doings son, nearly ruins the classic image of both Spidey and Marvel in the process.

Lastly, my message to everyone who thinks that this somehow the ultimate iteration of the character: please stop consuming this media. You know nothing and are very much part of the problem that both the comic book and film industries are presently facing.

Biggest waste of an hour and a half ever.

Brilliant. As a student of communications, horror and history, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It's a real think piece. Some allegories are less apparent than others. The 44% approval rating is proof that most audiences are just plain stupid.

A gay romp with Jeff, Walter and Donny.
