No, no, no . . . (this movie) made whoever watched it get high and feel lonely. DFW fans have gone real, like, interior . . . about this movie.
"American Sniper" is an entertaining and suspenseful movie made all the better by a charming Bradley Cooper but, and this is a big "but" and that is: Mr. Eastwood's movie, by only portraying the Iraqi's as savages, is of no help toward ending their continuous genocide . So, give the Oscar to this instead of "Inherent Vice" or "Foxcatcher" and re-affirm how racist the award show is. And maybe, if we're lucky, with every single movie that was sent as a screener to the Acadamy winding up online before their release dates, well, maybe next year the awards can be cancelled and producers can save their money and not feel let down when that bribe worth millions didn't pay off.
"Even Dwarfs Started Small" is a funny, perplexing, and weird experience and this well-shot black and white movie is ninety minutes that are hard to shake, to forget.
Werner Herzog's "Heart of Glass" is inspired madness that's mesmerizing every strange, hypnotic frame.
