Connor's Review of Iron Man 3
Iron Man 3(2013)
The third film in the Iron Man franchise, and the first film of Marvel's Phase Two, is the best Iron Man film, and maybe even the best Phase Two film, if Thor 2 and Captain America 2 end up like...... Thor and Captain America. Shane Black brings lots of wit, action, and character development after taking the reins from Jon Favreau after the criminally disappointing (but only okay) Iron Man 2. Robert Downey Junior still gives the character of Tony Stark a performance worthy of whatever the superhero movie equivalent of an Oscar is (A Supey? can that be a thing?) by making Tony seem like his still smug and smart self, while giving him a sometimes hilarious vulnerable side. The rest of the actors are great, and Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin is a huge shocker, let's just leave it at that. I want a 10 hour loop of him saying the word "Cookieeee" over and over. The problems I had with the movie were that the first Act went a little too quickly, and I would have loved to see Terrence Howard still be Rhodey. Little complaints, but its all worth it. A Phenomenal film, which will hopefully lead to an AMAZING Avengers sequel. Also, the Post-Credits Scene is unexpectedly hilarious.
