Men in Black 3, in my opinion, was a little bit better than the first movie! I really liked this movie. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are really good (including young Tommy Lee Jones). It was a fun ride all the way through. The Villain was way better than the bad guy in the 2nd movie and he plays his role very nicely. The whole time travel part of the movie was different and I think it worked nicely.
In the end, we find out why Agent Kay chose agent Jay in the first movie. I think they did quite nicely and it was good they focused more on the two men in black. Call me crazy but I will rate this 4/5 OR 8/10
Ripley is still a bad ass in this movie but the other characters are only ok. The fact that Ripley is now a clone is strange and probably unnecessary (watch Alien 3 to understand why). And though the creepy atmospheric feeling is gone from the original 1979 movie, it still has some pretty cool parts. For example, it's cool to see how the aliens interact underwater and it's also cool to learn how smart they really are. The ending is ok, the pacing was ok.
As long as your have an open mind, you'll find that this is not a terrible movie like a lot of people make it out to be...but it's not in the same level as Alien or Aliens. I think if you're a fan of the first two films, you should watch all the Alien movies to keep track of Ripley's bad ass journey with these aliens. I would rate it a little bit better than average but it's not very good overall...so, maybe GOOD enough: 3/5 OR 6/10
Alien 3 is not a bad movie but it's up against two awesome movies in Alien and Aliens. So, if you keep that in mind, you won't be terribly disappointed. Right off the bat, the little girl from Aliens dies...that kind of sets the tone from there. Ripley is the only survivor from the ship and she lands in a place that holds dangerous criminals. The flow of the movie is fine, the dialogue is a little weak...there is some variation of the word "FUCK" at least 100 times in the film, probably more! And though bad words don't bother me, it just seemed a little bit overdone for this movie. The alien hunts down the criminals and Ripley survives (for a very specific reason). In the end, Ripley does what she had to do to prevent the government from studying the alien specimen. And this is perhaps, the most disappointing part of the film. Was it necessary for it to end this way?
For continuation purposes, you should check it out but don't expect this movie to be as good as the previous two films. Overall, I would rate it a 3/5 OR 6/10. It's not a horrible movie, it's just completely different from the previous 2. A little bit better than AVERAGE.
Men in Black 2 was good but not as good as the first one. Sure the aliens were still cool but the villian was weaker this time and it didn't have the same flow the first part had. Overall, it was still enjoyable but it was a little bit disappointing. I rate it 3/5 OR 6/10
Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith were really good together in Men In Black. The movie moves along nicely, the main bad guy alien insect guy is pretty cool. And the movie mixes in some comedy without it getting too cheesy. The ending was pretty cool too. I enjoyed this movie quite a bit. Overall: 3.5/5 OR 7/10
