I hope he continues to make many more movies like this until his career is completely un-salvageable
Any film, despite the incredible talent involved, that portays Spector as anything but the murderer he IS, is suspect of quality, taste and motivation,
Although a but dated today, this is still very clever and funny. Richard Benjamin gets the best and biggest laughs.
Swashbuckling, quick witty dialogue and outstanding comedic performances by Ron Leibman and of course Hamilton. Plus, how often do you see homosexual characters as flamboyant but heroic action stars? This is literally the only one I can think of. Classic.
Rogen and Streisand together onscreen. Barf
This one is surprisingly involving and fun. If you're "b" action fan you'll like it. If you're also a Dolphie fan you'll love it.
What made the original a cult favorite and more than just a run of the mill action flick was the subtext. Like the novel War of the Worlds it made a world power the underdog guerrilla fighters. Suddenly the idea of African rebels and Middle East militias made up of young men and teenagers had faces of our own American youth. It was also played fairly straight and humorless playing heavily on the fears of the 80s era cold war. The new film appears a more slick far more credibility stretching remake that has little reason for being revisited.
Fairly forgettable but entertaining comedy with lots of chuckles and a few laugh out loud moments. It also marks the last time Jonah Hill was funny onscreen.
The preview was one of the funniest things I've seen this year. That Riffax can't come soon enough.
THE KILLER WAS.....ha ha just kidding.
Too bad it hasn't found an audience.
Probably not going to cough up a buncha dough to see this at the theaters but it does look kind of entertaining. That sentence will end any possible "film street cred" but I'll rent it in a few months.
This looks like a good example of when activism works, and doesn't end up with a buncha losers whining in a drum circle. These guys actually did something.
Wow. This looks really bad, and I'm a fan of everyone in this but Hill.
