OMG! Bad, bad, bad. Why is it so hard to find a good movie these days? So formulaic and predictable. I'm sadly disappointed in Lily Rabe and Sam Worthington. Way beneath them. Bordering on ridiculous.
I can't stand it when these imbecile characters can't open a locked door.
"Gee, should I look through the keyhole? Oh, my daughter is dying, I guess I'll just keep rattling the doorknob"...
You get the point. Unfortunately this happens, oh, say 8, 10 50 times in this movie?!?! Exasperating!
P.S. Katie Holmes still does that crooked smile thing from way back in her Dawson's Creek days. Does she really do that in real life? Annoying!!
OK, it was scary and tense in spots but that was totally offset by the main characters being bumbling idiots. They did all the cliche stupid things that the stupid people in horror movies do. I mean, how many times can you swing a fireplace poker at someone and miss? Really? Oh yeah, and the ending was ridiculous. So sad because I was really looking forward to this movie.
Emily Blunt is a total bitch in this movie with no redeeming qualities. I wanted all of the characters to die by the end.
Great movie with one exception. Why do writers and/or directors always have the cliche scene when someone goes to the police and the police don't believe them? Totally unbelievable and really took me out of the movie I was so engrossed in.
