Epically poor retelling of the 1959 epic. Even modern CGI during the chariot race can't save this turkey (with apologies to the turkeys if this world).
Scenery and huskies are the real stars. People and dialogue add a small bit but much is unsaid and not explained. A gentle pseudo-doc of a lifestyle now past.
Matt Damon delivers strongly in a feel good sci-fi that is engrossing, if abit cliched and tidy.
A product of America that registers American soldiers' sacrifices. Look past the nationalism and enjoy a good action movie with some factual basis. Like this: try HurtLocker or Lone Survivor.
Brutal. Supposed to be realistic: war is hell. A blunt message. Not worth seeing. Deserves an R rating.
