Monty's Review of Tomorrow, When the War Began
An interesting action movie that deals with surpising themes, but feels a little off key. The acting is fine, as are the action sequences, and the friendship between the group is very belivable. I was surprised that themes such as religion were used so heavily in a teen action movie, but it was for the better of the movie. These themes created a much more realistic and scary world. But the film raises so many questions that are not answered. Why is there a war going on? Why are all the parents being taken? Perhaps its better for the audience to make their own story up, but these unanswered questions made the audience feel like that the protaginists don't know what their fighting for. And the ending. So a main character is dying, add to that a cheesy epilogue, and the wars still not over. Are they that confident there will be a sequel?
