Seeing as I'd seen the first movie (and several others from the genre in my life) I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. This movie was a fair bit better than I anticipated as the characters had more depth to them than you expect from a shark movie.
It was pretty standard Chappelle, as ridiculous as it was funny.
I had heard great things and was expecting to enjoy this movie. Everything from the pacing to the action sequences were lack luster.
This should be a hard pass.
This was a much different take on a world war II movie. The way they dealt with timelines and transitions between timelines was unique and intentionally jaring. You spent a lot of energy guessing which timeline you were in and it added to the overall impact of the movie.
There were interesting characters and pretty incredible acting performances.
