The Amazing Spider-Man

Entertaining enough but overall, it's pointless. I don't know where to begin with how this reboot was unnecessary. I suppose the only reason, and this is assuming, that is film has any relevance is so that Marvel can piece together the film universe their developing 9after the success of the Avengers). Either way, the film was appealing more to the eyes then anything else. The "untold story" everyone blabbered about? I didn't see it. Unless your referring to the "origins" or Parker's parents in which case, yes, it is the untold story. Of course I mean that it seriously wasn't told. Completely irrelevant. Added nothing new or surprising to the story. If you like Spider-Man A LOT, then I recommend it for you. If your used to Raimi's version, don't even bother. And don't get me started on the terrible dialogue between Parker and Stacy.

Finally, a portrayal of my favorite superhero I could truly enjoy.

The Dark Knight

A beautifully filmed, wonderfully acted and well-paced film that, in my own opinion, should be considered a modern day masterpiece. Not to compare it with more classic masterpieces but to most films these days, "The Dark Knight" raises the bar not only as a comic book superhero film but as a, action-crime thriller that both entertains the eyes and ears, as well as makes the mind think. And could the comic book world ask for a better portrayal of The Joker? I don't think so.
