Seven Psychopaths(2012)

Clever and shocking, outrageous and unpredictable, Seven Psychopaths is one of the most entertaining and insightful movies about movie conventions ever made. Colin Farrell plays a screenwriter, Marty, who is stuck on how to write his current project, called Seven Psychopaths, so his friend, Billy, helps give him ideas while kidnapping dogs with his partner, Hans (Christopher Walken). However, when they kidnap a dog belonging to a gangster, Charlie (Woody Harrelson), they must go on the run do avoid fate find inspiration for the screenplay that everyone pitches in on. The zany story line blends different genres while spoofing their conventions at the same time, and each of the actors give their own unique performance backed by the powerful and hilarious dialogue. And with composer Carter Burwell re-teaming with director Martin McDonagh, the wacky elements merge into a seamless whole.
