Bruno 's Review of Skyfall
The latest Bond film is a nice improvement over its predecessor Quantum of Solace and is definitely a solid action flick. Director Sam Mendes, responsible for excellent dramas in the past, chose some beautiful and exotic locations to shoot and also handles the action scenes very well. They were competently made, but I was much more impressed by Casino Royale on that matter. Skyfall also has witty dialogue, being essentially a revenge tale this time around.
Daniel Craig once again delivers a solid performance as well as Judi Dench and the director manages to create some fine dramatic moments between their characters. Javier Bardem as the villain Silva was superb and he really transformed himself into his character, who is tormented by a horrible past. It was tremendously fun to see him act here though I didn't feel he was that intimidating. Javier Bardem does have a very powerful scene, which made me relate to his character's pain.
Skyfall is a worthy addition to the 007 franchise and celebrates 50 years of Bond in style.
