Big Hero 6

It's not wholly perfect but it's never wrong. Expert direction, beautifully animated, and a predictable but fun, well-paced, and feeling story makes for arguably one of the best animated films of all time and by far the best film using Marvel characters as its base. Big Hero 6 is cheer evoking fun that I can't wait for more of.

Just what it was meant to be; cute family fun.

The Book of Life

Visually its a unique treat. The story, while over-all worthy, could not keep up with the visuals. I was entertained throughout but I can't shake the feeling that if they slowed down and didn't try to cover so much ground the meaningful parts that were rare would have had more numerous and been grander. Still a worthwhile watch.

It was really long for what it was. Was this supposed to shake me out of my commercially driven reality and get me in touch with my deeper self, man? This movie was so bad when I stumbled upon this entry I had to check back to make sure I rated it as low as I could.

They could have did this movie in an hour or so. Well produced and sometimes well shot, but there are only so many ways to shoot a guy walking while make the audience listen to acousticly hummed Pearl Jam tunes. There were some pretty neat moments and I think in this case less would have been more. A lot less would have been a lot more.

At least it helps answer the question for those that have romantically respectable dreams of living off the land and "using nature as your grocery store" that, no you can't really do that.

Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas

Well, it's lies and propaganda and a perfect example of people who are offended at what they *think* others are offended at: ultimate hypocrites. This isn't a movie, it's an intelligence test.
