The Lost City of Z
52 days ago via Rotten Tomatoes

Slow, boring. You can barely hear the dialogue in the slow English wispers. The scenes cut abruptly. One minute they are thousands of miles in the jungle, then presto, he's back in England in a suit. Back and forth a few times to the Amazon. After a while, you're like, ok, find the damn city already. Boring movie. No sense of real adventure.

Maudie (2017)
52 days ago via Rotten Tomatoes

Put it this way, I cried, and my wife sobbed. If you didn't feel sad for Maudie, then you're a turnip, not a human with a heat. The acting by Sally Hawkins was amazing. Ethan Hawke not so believable. They should have casted an actor that looked a bit more like the real Everett. Hawke seemed too young, and too Hollywood good looking. But the story or her loneliness, pain, longing for love and a home, was so sad. Yet God gave her at least one gift. The abuse she suffers at the hand of her husband and brother, shows the reality of life: The weak will always be exposed to abuse by someone. In the end, she utters, "I was loved." In her heart of pain, at least that.

Arn - Tempelriddaren (Arn: The Knight Templar)

Slow I thought. The story was ok. Not the best crusader type movie I ever saw.

War for the Planet of the Apes

Great special effects, acting, story, backdrop. Nicely done movie.

Heaven Knows Mr. Allison

I really enjoyed this movie. The acting, scenery, the story. I also liked that unlike todays movies, the characters were noble, and classy. If this was made today, they would be having sex on the beach in a matter of days.
