Now this is a fantastic movie in every way. Every actor in this movie honors the story in his/her unique way. It is a stellar cast, and Meryl Streep turns herself into a 100% believable character who has a chronic addiction to pills. It was mesmeizing.
So much wonderful talent wasted in this movie. Unlike the movie info there is nothing uproarious about this film. The chracters, especially the father of the bride portrays seediness, yet somehow this is "ok" with everybody... truly bad.
You do not need to be Italian to absolutely fall in love with this movie. You don't need to know the intricacies of Italian political history to revel in the movie's stellar cast, tempo, and directorial marvel. It is an exquisite, rich, in depth look at Italy's most influential prime minister. Enjoy.
So bad in every way, actors who did not really believe their characters nor played them with any degree of credibility; thin, thin, thin plot. Jodie Foster's presence is perhaps the only reason why you'd want to go see it, and her part is quite small. You will be bored or simply leave.
