Not without it's faults in acting choices and portrayals and storytelling, as well as hard to differentiate from other fantasy world films for newcomers to the franchise. Nonetheless, Warcraft delivers what fans have hoped for in action and story and effects, although it clumsily tries to bridge towards a sequel.
Civil War slows down to give the audience the story and depth missing from the last few movies of the MCU while simultaneously offering up an awesome ensemble of characters (some old, some new) as well as great action sequences. One of the best Marvel films to date.
Jon Favreau adheres and deviates from the source film where necessary, and while some parts feel rushed and incomplete, the film brings together heaps of action, comedy and visual brilliance to pay a memorable homage to the classic, although it won't be able to take it's place as one.
It's rare to see British bluntness and American bravado pair off so brilliantly.
It's entertaining enough to pull through, plus, there's a Frenchman in a leotard.
