Not the best Bond movie out there ... its as if Bond has a bullet repellant and the world's biggest plot armor. And what was the main objective and reasoning for the villain again? Oof. Daniel Craig came into Bond with a boom, but he's getting out with a bust unfortunately.
Venom 2 brings up the ante and comedy of the first one, but in a shorter package :( The acting is crisp and clear, and the story doesnt miss a beat (nor does it beat the bush). Stay around for the post credits ... it'll definitely be a pleasant surprise for the future of the MCU.
Oof this is a rotten movie indeed. Sharks that can remember and track families across oceans and take revenge? Wtf ... in any case the movie is predictable, silly, and all around a waste of time. Stop with the first 2 Jaws if you're interested in this series and save yourself 3-4 hours.
They probably should have stopped at Jaws 2 ... but I guess even in the 80s, Hollywood was all about sequels. Theres some slightly better cgi and acting here, but the story is no where as high stakes as before.
This one is similar to the first in many ways but I found the stakes to be higher and the fear more pronounced. But the story is ultimately the same, shark meets town, town disbelieves in shark, chaos ensues. Roy Scheider is there to save the day though!
The original shark movie that made beach goers afraid for years! This movie doesn't hesitate to dive into the action from the start, and keeps the viewer on their toes for the entirety. Truly a masterpiece of its time.
The Suicide Squad should probably stop here. The first movie was interesting, and this was a bit funnier, but the story line was basically the same and the overall action about the same as well. Loved James Gunn's take on it though, so I'd give it a 1 time "fun" and "silly" watch.
Definitely didn't live up to the standards of other comic films by DC or the comics themselves of the same name. Barbara is tossed around like some child (and some questionable content too) and Joker has no additional content to his background. Skip unless you are a hardcore fan, and maybe skip even then because it seems completely out of place.
After watching this after a very long time, this is basically an inverse of Mad Max. Swap out the desert/barren wasteland for the barren ocean and it is practically the same (all the way up to oil being a rare resource, and the evil leader providing small "gifts" to pacify the subordinates). Despite this, worth a one time watch for this classic action movie!
Honestly, I kinda liked the first 2-3 films from the 90s over this one. While the fighting scenes were gorgeous and some of the fatalities were straight from the games, the plot (if there was much at all) was barely set up. There was no connection to any of the characters except maybe Hanzo, and there was no sense of urgency from the tournament it self ... the 1995 movie did a much much better job at this!
Its a great sequel to the original Madagascar film with each of the primary actors providing great comic relief and addition to the plot. Loved watching it as a child and even rewatching it now many many years later. Critically though, it seems like none of the new characters had much to offer in this movie but that doesn't detract from the visual pleasantness or the enjoyment of the film!
It's a gorilla versus a nuclear (fire) breathing lizard from the depths of the Earth. Who did you think was going to win :P Regardless, I think the movie was a fun 1 time watch though there are so many useless characters and a severe lack of explanation for where all the advanced tech comes from. Plus there is no regards to human life or the "horror" that comes from any titans going at it that the first, 2014, film so accurately conveys.
I think WW84 started off pretty well, and then it quickly bit off more than it can chew. Lots of random story points and cheesy one-liners (laughed at them regardless) and an overall plot that seemed like it was written by a middle schooler. Visuals were stunning and maybe if you want to watch it for the characters and the cameos, go for it ... else just pretend a sequel to WW exists but don't worry about what actually happens in it.
Honestly, this isn't really a kids movie. Chicken Joe is definitely on some "shrimps", Cody is very ahead of his time, and the story is a bit dark/gloomy. BUT it's still a funny little movie that kids can watch, and adults can rewatch to catch all the other tidbits.
Twice the content, twice the rating, twice the excitement! All the randomness and weird cuts in the Joss Whedon version suddenly make sense after watching this. Flash and Cyborg aren't just side characters, and everyone plays an important part. Steppenwolf looks menacing, and Dark Seid ... my oh my if there was a JL 2 he would put a villain like Thanos to shame. Any future comic book movie director needs to take notes from Zack for how a superhero movie should be made!
Clearly Bachan has nothing better to do than be in a movie like this but at least the other two actors and the actresses kind of picked up the slack. Overall quite a waste of time though with a few funny moments.
You know, it started off like it could be a Hera Pheri or maybe Housefull competitor but this movie quickly degrades into such terrible acting and plot that I must be pagal myself to have watched through the entire thing. Utter nonsense, skip!
