The trio comes back again for another well directed and edited police movie. Supporting cast is excellent and adds their best to the humor and fun. Story is strong and believable and honest leading to great acting that brings emotions into the raw. The 'wounds' are one of the best chat-up scenes, seen in a movie. Nibbles: Turkey Burger and Green Salad.
Well written and executed by the actors makes this a very believable film. The strong cinematography captures the essence of the situation magnificently making for a entertaining hour and a half. The film is realistic with more actuality as it deals with family and collaborators. One is reminded of WWII war films with a deeper twist. British slap stick comedy is revealed in all its glory with plenty of tongue in cheek moments. As one of the actors puts it - running around blowing things up, well sick. It turned out to be a very worthwhile film to watch, suitable for the whole family. The depth of the acting, especially Gillian Anderson puts most big spend blockbusters to shame, as does the quality of the robots and spaceships etc. The locations are also exceptional and worth seeing this movie for the view. Nibbles: Iced fruit cake.
The film starts interestingly with some music that has the usual depth one expects from a film from the Netherlands. Acting is strong with great characterisation and emotions that is compelling throughout. The lighting and photographic artistry is to be complemented but is spoiled by the overuse of the shaky camera syndrome in the beginning which thankfully got less as the movie progressed. The story is not unique and has lots of the usual clichés, such as beating up transport police etc. Music is typical modernist as one gets use to in such films however, does add depth to the situations as they appear on screen. Entertaining for teenagers and the artistic. Nibbles: Carrots with dip.
If you are not depressed and frustrated the likelihood is that you may be after watching this movie. Actors put in very realistic performances giving the characters an obnoxious feel that makes this movie tick. Overall the movie comes across as a stressed out shouting match between sisters and friends that ruin the worst wedding seen on screen. Nibbles: Whisked Sponge Cake
Nothing, like the bloodied slaughter, of NYC Police to ensure that the movie will be thrilling and emotional and worth the time to watch and enjoy. Strong feelings are part of the characterization by the actors, which is done overly dramatically ensuring lots of rage and thought. There is nothing like a bunch of bad police to upset the balance and twist society into mayhem. Nibbles: Victoria Sandwich
