Apart from Batista the acting was dreadful. Some good action set pieces but at points the reality element really gets stretched (security being able to use facial recognition, stadium lockdown). Enjoyable to watch in a big group but not one to watch for a thought provoking solo film session.
Again this feels more like a kids film than other entries but there are elements working towards the darker tone of the later films. The acting has improved and some good set pieces. The final battle has some tense scenes and would have been out of place in the first.
When compared with later entries this feels like a completely different film franchise. The children are t the best actors at this point and it really shows. It feels more like a kids film.
A Carrey film with a high concept! Surprise! Still enjoyable bits especially the montages.
A bit paint by numbers with the inclusion of some scenes feeling quite contrived to ensure this entry has some key pitch perfect staples (sing off being a key example). Its saving grace is the actresses play their parts very well and have encapsulated these roles for 3 films. Still some funny set pieces and good songs dont make this film unenjoyable.
