The idea of reuniting different fairy-tales characters in a live action fashion is interesting, but the whole movie seems phony and way too artificial, not to mention the songs are a torture to the ears. The CIA could use it on terrorists to uncover the most hideous secrets from terrorists! It's two hours of total annoyance. Two hours that felt like five!
The Babadook is the most compelling and sentimental horror film I've ever seen. Darkness grows slowly and gets to seat-grabbing jolts, but in the end it's a touching story of loss and grief.
Tom Cruise ainda é o cara =P
This is SO beautiful and revolutionary, a huge turn over in the history of cinema. It's easy, yet hard, to describe: every scene is full of feeling and minimalist movie-making. Simplicity and audacity are still the best weapons for a movie maker, and Linklater has proven what I already knew: that he is HUGE. Boyhood has permanently entered my Top 10 movies list, something that hasn't been touched over the last 10 years.
Darkly funny and claustrophobic at the same time, this movie's audacity relies more on the critics of a "disneyfied" world with guerrilla filmmaking than the David-Lynchian dream-state horror.
"Chaos is order yet undechipered".
This movie is so overwhelmingly cheesy in every single aspect that, in the end, it's fun. The post-yuppie-LA-even-tho-we're-in-2014 looks like sci-fi stuff, Lohan's acting is so botox-fueled and the dialogues are SO hilariously poor that this can be considered the "scriptic" (from script, lol) disaster of the centuries. Yes, even more than The Counselor.
Super cool. One of the nicest post-apocalyptic movies lately. It has it all, violence, great looks and a brave look on the stratification of society. Highly recommended.
Beautiful, sweet and utterly funny, Grand Budapest Hotel reaches excellency in every single movie aspect. Although it lacks the heart of previous Wes Anderson's works, it has its own way of touching your heart and the immense cast of stars makes its brilliancy sky-rocket.
Don't let this movie pass by due to the negative critics - it's dark, solid, sad, violent - of course, Christian Bale is excellent as usual and Woody Harrelson is there playing his typical american-macho-hick, but sometimes it's all it takes to balance a mediocre rust-belt script.
Boa surpresa, com Geoffrey Rush num papel excêntrico e inspirado, rodeado de obras de arte maravilhosas que compõem o cenário, com a ajuda de uma trilha sonora bem oldschool de Ennio Morricone.
