This movie could have been allot better, if only TJ Miller wasn’t casted as one of the side characters. Seriously, all he does is act lazy, and look high, in almost every damn he’s in! As for the protagonist portrayed by Jack Black? He was, “meh”, but I admire him for trying under the circumstances. The visuals look decent half the time, but shoot! They couldn’t be more obvious with the special effects! Most of the cast are hit and miss, so, it is only a one timer. A 4/10
This was a little bizarre, due to the fact that it’s a Quentin Tarantino flick, to say the least. Right off, I could tell that Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt have excellent chemistry, since their fictional characters work so well off of each other. Margot Robbie does a good job portraying Roman Polanski’s pregnant wife, and fits into the time period very well! The Manson family doesn’t play too big of a role in this film, but I did feel their satanic presence leaking through the screen, so that was disturbing. I wouldn’t dare to spoil what happens in this feature, but let’s just say, that I was really enjoying myself, and taking in the beautiful cinematography, which once was Hollywood in 1969, gave a calming and charming atmosphere to the film. Not the directors best movie to date, but good, so, hats off to you pal!
Couldn’t bear to view the rest of it after watching the first five minutes! You know darn good and well that allot of people messed up on this version of the popular animated series, if you can’t make it through the rest of the film!
This wasn’t what I expected it to be, but, DAMN! It is a beautiful piece of art, with mind blowing visuals, and a dark sense of dread and suspense, while balancing itself out with decent human drama, and a killer soundtrack! Cillian Murphy does a good job as the main character of this horror/drama, and this was one of the first flicks where I saw actor Chris Evans shy away from the horrible action/comedy vibe, and plays a role where his dramatic talents are put on full blast. I grew to care about him, and the rest of the characters, and that’s really saying something about this feature! I don’t want to spoil this flick, but what happens in it, nearly hits you to the core with its perils and dramatic themes. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who’s into horror/sci-fi genres.
Watched the first 30 seconds, and turned it off after that. To say that it's cringe would be an insult to cringe!!
