What a weird movie. This might be the weirdest movie I've seen all year. I liked that it's different and unique but by being a French movie it doesn't make any logical sense which is a let down at parts of the movie. The biggest issue I have with this movie is how could a car have a kid with a human. That's France for ya. What I did like also is that it had 3 different genres in this. At the beginning it felt like a body horror slasher movie then it went into a drama with the firefighter then finally a sci fi movie with a car human cross baby. This movie doesn't make sense and maybe it has some deeper meaning but it could've said some kind of explanation to why humans and cars can have kids. A huge positive is the pacing of the film. It's very fast paced for an Oscar type movie and never lags. I especially liked the part where the main actress is pretending to be a firefighters long lost son. That emotion between the two is amazing. In the end I surprisingly like this movie even though it makes no absolute sense but I highly recommend this movie if you like weird unique movies because I like them. Good job. This movie deserves all the praise it's getting. Of course it's not perfect or best picture Oscar quality but I enjoyed it while watching and is memorable for being the most absurd movie of the year. Good job Titane aka titanium.
The flip? Had everybody gone mad dog vachon?? I legit despise this movie, it's bad. The cgi looks cheap and the story is so bad. It feels like whoever wrote and directed this movie is either high as a kite or drinking too much. Venom in the first movie was cool and didn't get along with Eddie Brock. Now they feel like best friends which nothing is wrong with that but then there's the scene where venom legit dances and him by himself looks so fake. This movie feels like a early 2000s movie like the first ghost rider or even blade 3. To me theirs no logical reason to make this movie besides money and I'm legit shocked by how much this movie made opening weekend. It made 90 million. That's a lot of money, like a wicked amount. But what I can't wrap my head around is that people like this movie, a slow paced, with a bad script movie. This movie felt lazy. Anyway another and final problem is that venom is now suddenly a villain because he's now going to be in the next Spiderman movie. It felt rushed and this movie didn't need to happen. This movie doesn't elevate venom at all, he actually feels weaker compared to the first. And to now stick him in the next Spider-Man movie feels lazy. That could've been a cool surprise in the movie but no. Sony wanted more marketing for the next Spider-Man movie. It's easy marketing but to me it's the laziest way of marketing . In the end I hated this movie, it's lazy and is very forgettable like a lot of other superhero movies that came out this year. But at least the other Disney marvel stuff took some risks. This movie didn't take any and played it very safe. This is a very disappointing movie.
Now before I start this review let me say that I've only seen one episode of the sopranos tv show because I was waiting for this to give me insight of how Tony soprano was as a teenager. Young tony is good but everybody else sucked. This is a decent first episode of a tv show not a movie. This doesn't feel like a movie it feels like a tv show.
A dumb not really necessary sequel starring the same people. Before watching this I was dreading to sit through this but I was shocked of how not bad it is. It is bad but not as bad as I predicted. The plot is very simple , Wednesday is a genius and this mad scientist pretends to be the real father. This movie feels and looks like it was made in the early 2000s. Man why didn't MGM at least attempt to make the animation look better than the first? I think I would've preferred if universal handled this movie instead of MGM but this is Hollywood . But what I did like the most about this movie is the writing. Their were a lot of good smart jokes in this that both the parent and child would laugh like crazy about. I chuckled a couple of times which is a rarity. I did like that is was in a family vacation format. Yes it made is very predictable but at least the journey wasn't cringy. What I'm trying to say nicely is this movie is watchable. Some movies I can barely sit though without thinking to myself about better movie ideas. But here I just let the movie happened and it's not the atrocious hot mess that I thought it would be. In the end it is a bad movie but a watchable one. I would never watch it again but for a one time kids movie it gets the job done to waste about an hour and a half.
What a movie! Jessica Chastain as Tammy Faye is phenomenal. She is the best part of this movie 1000 percent. Her acting skills really showed and I truly forgot she was acting. I really believed that she is Tammy Faye and what's funny is after the movie I googled the real life Tammy Faye and I preferred the Jessica chastain version more. I thought Jessica chastain is more Tammy Faye than Tammy Faye herself. It's weird sometimes. Anyway I had a blast with this and I hope Jessica chainstain wins an Oscar for this. She is truly phenomenal and made me care about Tammy Faye. I legit am hooked on everything Tammy Faye now. I was watching all her old shows with her former husband and her songs are all great. I still need to see the documentary that came out in the early 2000s. Andrew Garfield was good as always in this but not Oscar worthy. The story and life of Tammy Faye is truly extraordinary and I highly highly recommend this movie. This movie will make it on my top 10 movies of 2021. The only negative I have is that I wanted more.
